Not much to tell today.

But I am feeling under the weather.

I blame my city’s air pollution. I’ve been sneezing in large quantities since yesterday with intervals of respite in-between.

I dreamt about X again last night.

This time, we were on holiday somewhere and we only had a few days left together before we both flew home.

Our dynamic seemed normal, almost easy in the dream. As if all the horrible things that happened in reality hadn’t happened in that dream version of us.

So I feel kinda blue about it. On the plus side, I managed to finish cutting my Halloween crafts for my students. I took all that paper back and then went to the hair salon for a wash and blow.

Now I’m at home, lying toasty warm under the covers, hoping to get some rest. It’s going to be a long week and I need all the energy I can get.

Writing that Dear John letter to X seems to have opened old wounds again, which would account for my depressing mood all week.

I’m tired of feeling anything where X is concerned. I just want to be done with her in every sense.

And yet, I still don’t have the heart to take her pictures off my phone, so what does that say? I guess it’s more about caring that it’ll hurt when I let X go more than caring about letting her go.

I never realized how difficult it is to go through each day with a broken heart and pretend that everything’s fine.

Maybe I’m finally done pretending that all is well.

Or maybe being sick is depressing enough without throwing a broken heart into the equation too.

Time to stop babbling and rest.
