Days of Horror - Day 25: The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) I want to start by saying that this film is severely underrated. Combining Law & Order with the Exorcist, the Exorcism of Emily Rose tells a fascinating and very real story about a young woman named Emily Rose (played by Jennifer Carpenter) who was allegedly possessed by a demonic spirit, as well as the events which lead to her death. The events of the film surround a court case concerning her and other people's mysterious deaths, and the film changes narrative based on which witnesses are telling the story. The way this is done is quite genius really, for the viewer will have tons of questions during the film, and will be treated much like members of the jury. Who is to be persecuted for her death? Which parties are held responsible, and should we really dispose of concepts and the very ideas that there may be more to the mysteries of life besides insanity cases? Could spirits be real? Could God, Satan and their domains exist? Though you may end the movie with more questions than answers, there's absolutely no denying that sometimes in life, situations will defy all logic, and not everything is explained through black and white explanations. I encourage you all to watch this film, and immediately following your viewing, google Emily Rose and the story about her life. It's quite a spooky treat that will give you goosebumps and shivers down your spine. #DaysofHorror #TheExorcismofEmilyRose #fun #horror #spooky #emilyrose #scary #film #movies #badass https://www.instagram.com/p/BpYDNcBFSaA/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=yd6cqjiks0mq
