The barracks; an oasis of ammo, military clothing... and bandits. I find myself scrambling in and out of the rooms, trying not to spend too much time in the hostile area. My search was complete, some handcuffs and a bandage was all I could find, not bad for a few minutes searching.

But on my way out I suddenly notice something strange, the barracks door is now open.. I always close it on entering to ensure I am alone. But now, it is wide open.. and then foot steps! Still standing in the corridor I start inching my way down to the exit, my heart pounding with every footstep. And then just before I reach the bathroom two fully geared men spring out on me, gunshots sounded and bullets ricocheted in all directions, I dart into the nearest room hopelessly shouting "friieenddlllyyy!!!!!" down my mic. They reply, miraculously it appears for a second that they're friendly, one of them pops his head round the door, then another head. Now realizing I'm outnumbered I place my gun away. Then on the floor. With my hands high in the air we chat for a bit, they seem nice enough. Eventually they let me pick my gun up, together we run to a hanger on the coast where we exchange ammo, food and a few friendly words. We stare at each other not knowing what to do next, then they run off, I never saw them again.

Somehow I managed to stumble across two of the very few friendly people in the world of Dayz, in one of the most hostile places.

I Finally meet someone, in the vast expanse of Chernarus. He appears friendly so I try talking, He doesn't respond. So I type 'Hey'. Still no response.

He shoots me.
