Oh. No.
This place was strange. It was set up just like earth, but more advanced. Chuuya wasn’t used to being in such a clean place. Back in Yokohama, things were nice enough, but obviously having the port mafia and detective agency within the same city caused it to look in a constant disarray. Some days were peaceful, other days buildings blew up and people died.
Here? Not a single dead person. No explosions, no buildings blowing up. It was.. boring. Very, very boring. Not that he completely hated it, this was just something he wasn’t used to. Chaos, havoc- that was something he could relate to. Any type of peace made a sense of unease settle under his skin. It was as if he was expecting something bad to happen.
Until then, he decided to walk around and get to know the locations. At least, the was his plan. Currently, he was walking out of a liquor store with a bag filled with three wine bottles. He figured he would need them considering one of his roommates was someone that was dead in his timeline. That was the only conclusion he could make when seeing someone like that. Maybe that’s what... Rei? Tei? had meant with it came to weird abnormalities. Regardless, it was strange. In his other hand was a bag full of italian food to-go.
Since cooking wasn’t something he was good at, and he was provided things for free, within a limit, Chuuya figured he could, at the least, treat himself to a nice dinner. There were even extras just in case Odasaku wanted some. Should he have asked? Yes. But he wasn’t going to go out of his way to be polite to someone that he hardly knew. While they were both in the port mafia, that didn’t mean they had been close. As far as he knew, Odasaku and Dazai were relatively close and anyone that liked Dazai had to be bad news. Right? (No, but he wasn’t going to admit that. He’s just bitter.)
Due to being lost in thought, he wasn’t paying attention as he rounded a corner and ran directly into someone. “Ow, fuck...” Chuuya took a couple steps back and set down the bag of wine so that he could rub his nose. That hurt. When he finishes, he picks the bag back up and got ready to tell whoever he ran into to watch out for people coming through, only to stop and have his words stop dead in his throat.
Oh no. Oh no no no. Absolutely not. “What the hell are you doing here?” The words drip with displeasure and he immediately took several steps backwards. No. Why the hell was Dazai here? ... OF COURSE HE WAS GOING TO BE HERE. For some illogical reason, the universe loved to make them run into one another. Of fucking course. What bullshit.
