Cool cloth dabbed across your forehead had your eyes cracking open, wincing even at the low candlelight illuminating the room.
"There you are, bunny," a smooth voice said gently, the cloth leaving your forehead to be replaced with a fresh one only a moment later. The quiet splashing of water had you turning your head to the left, and you were confused at the sight before you. Two shadows were wringing out a cloth over a wooden bucket.
How were shadows...?
"How are you feeling, bunny?" You turned your head to the right, gaze landing on warm hazel eyes. "You gave us quite a scare, being out for two days."
Two days?
"I..." you paused. The room felt freezing, and your entire body ached with each shiver that passed through it. There was a pressure in your head and face, your nose stuffed to the point of discomfort. "Not good," you whispered, pushing your cheek into the soft, scarred hand he extended.
"I thought that might be the case," he sighed. "Your skin is barely glowing, baby girl."
A peek under the blankets proved him right, the normally bright-ember glow of your skin reduced to a faint shimmer.
"What..." You coughed, interrupting your question. Azriel stopped pressing the cloth to your forehead, instead lifting you up enough to let you drink from the glass he pressed to your lips. "What happened?" You asked after he settled you back into the bed, those scarred hands you loved so much brushing over your forehead soothingly.
Azriel sighed heavily. "We were all busy with our Court duties, and you had so sweetly decided to go grocery shopping to make us a special dinner when we returned. But... You forgot to wear enough layers, and the city was cold enough that you fell ill," he explained, the thread connecting you to him tightening with fear. "You're so sensitive to the cold, bunny, that by the time we returned home you were barely conscious." Soft lips pressed to your forehead, but you saw the tears in his eyes when he pulled away.
"I'm cold now..." you said slowly, giving your best puppy dog eyes to him. "I could use some extra warmth." He hesitated, and you lifted the blanket up with soft smile on your face, letting out a happy breath when he climbed into bed with you. You settled into the crook of his arm, carefully positioned around his wing, head resting on his chest, heartbeat sounding in your ear.
"Better?"
"Better," you whispered, nuzzling into him, breathing in as much of his scent as you could.
You drifted in and out of sleep, vaguely aware of Az's hand running through your hair, his shadows running a cloth against your forehead when deemed necessary. At some point an arm had snaked over your waist, a warm body pressed to your back. A turn of your head showed it was Feyre, stunning blue eyes already open and watching you.
"Hi, little love," she whispered softly. "How are you feeling?"
"Still not good. But a little better, with both of you," you admitted, the flush in your cheeks darkening.
"I'm glad to hear that, Y/N." The sound of your name from her lips sent your heart racing, unconsciously tugging on the bond between you before yawning wide. "Why dont you get some more sleep, hm? We need you in good health, for all of our well-beings love."
"Will you stay?" you asked quietly.
"Of course, Y/N. I'll always stay with you." The words, the promise in her voice let you drift back into that soft place, swaddled between two of your mates.

Soft sunlight filtered through the fabric curtains, and this time your head only ached a little bit, for which you were grateful.
Fingers were tracing patterns on the arm you had slung over Azriel, another running through your hair rhythmically.
"Morning bunny," Azriel said as you nuzzled into him, lifting a leg to hook over one of his.
"Morning Azzie," you breathed, squeezing him as much as you could with your arm. "Morning Fey," you giggled after her fingers gripped your arm lightly.
"Do you feel up to eating in the kitchen?" Feyre asked, her fingers tracing your skin once more.
You weren't particularly hungry, but your body was beginning to ache from laying down for so long. "If I can bathe first," you said quietly.
"Of course you can bathe first, bunny," Az chuckled. "Feyre, I'll get her cleaned up and dressed if you could go tell Cass and Rhys to start cooking." You let out a whine at the suggestion, not wanting to be without either of them right now. "Or, we can both help you bathe, if you'd like."
"Yes, please," you said, shooting a bright smile his way. You weren't feeling normal yet, but something about the presence of your mates seemed to make your illness fade to the background.
"Then we need to get you out of this bed," Feyre giggled, pulling you out of Azriel's arms and over her as you struggled weakly, laughter spilling from you as she tickled your sides. A breathy laugh in your ear had your heart racing for a different reason, and Feyre helped you sit up, following close behind.
Azriel moved silently, scooping you from the bed without warning and whisking you into the bathroom, carefully setting you on your feet. He and Feyre worked quickly to undress you, the tub filling with steaming water thanks to the enchanted pipes. Feyre brushed out your hair gently as Azriel picked out a soap to pour into the tub- a blend reminiscent of his own scent, which made you smile.
You blushed when Azriel insisted upon lifting you into the tub, lowering you down with such care it made your heart throb. Together they washed you with soft cloths, running them over your skin.
Your skin, which was glowing again, almost at its usual brightness.
"You look like you're feeling better, little love," Feyre said as she carefully lowered your head to the water, soaking your hair before pouring shampoo into her palm.
"I am feeling better, Fey. Though not quite normal," you replied, sniffling noisily for show as she massaged the shampoo into your hair, eyes fluttering shut.
"Good, that's all we want baby," Azriel said, pressing a sweet kiss to a wet hand. You smiled at him, knowing, feeling that it was the truth, straight from the bond in your chest.
You let yourself drift off as Feyre rinsed your hair and then worked conditioner into it, Azriel's hands dipping back into the water to massage your feet.
"Alright, Y/N, let's get you up," Feyre said once she had rinsed your hair again, her hands coming to support you under your arms while you stood. She only let go to grab a fluffy towel, letting Azriel lift you out of the tub and into her waiting arms.
You were nearly ready to sleep again by the time they'd dried you off, your hair wrapped securely in a towel as they helped you shuffle back into the bedroom you shared with your mates.
Feyre pulled a nightgown from the closet that matched her eyes, along with a matching pair of panties and a pair of fluffy white knee socks from the dresser. A grin covered her face as she approached, as if she knew that you liked being dressed in her color.
Cotton slid up your legs and over your hips, cozy flannel pulled over your head and down to your thighs, finished off with soft wool, tugged up to your knees.
Once you were dressed, you stood and started walking to the door, only to be stopped by a gentle grip on your arm.
"Where do you think you're going?" Azriel asked, a teasing look in his eyes.
"You're not walking down there, not when you have mates that are perfectly capable of carrying you," Feyre said, nudging you towards Az. "Let him carry you, little love. It makes us feel better to take care of you."
You bit your lip, wanting to please them but also wanting to stretch your legs a bit... But that didn't matter, not when Azriel beamed at you when you opened your arms, letting him hoist you into his own.
And as you clutched to him, arms and legs wrapped around him, you couldn't bring yourself to want to be anywhere else.
