okay i wanna talk about a little detail i just noticed on my million'th rewatch of Dazed. so in the original script, the intellectuals actually had a fourth friend, Royce Crawford
i haven't read the entirety of the script yet so i won't say too much but it did give me some insight into a line from the final cut. in the beginning, when pink invites the intellectuals to pickford's party, mike says that "Goodwin's on a senior trip" so they might as well do something fun. i think that could be referencing Royce, although the name is different.
i just think it's a cool detail to notice. like the context that the characters exist in goes way more in-depth than we see in the movie, because we're just getting a snapshot. but if you look close enough, you can see a lot more
