I had a cute DB au dream where Saft, Harris and Corvidan were all working in a office type job together and poor Harris had to keep acting as the middle man for Saft to keep talking to Corvidan as for what his hobbies were and whether or not he was interested in regarding people he’d date.

All the while Saft was just nervously playing Solitaire and peeking over her PC screen to see what Corvidan was doing.

I know life and fate are scary But I wanna be Legendary... Hours spent listening to this bop from the recent Epic the Musical album drop resulted in me thinking about @goodbyenorthernlights sweet country lad who got wrapped up in his half-dragon cousin's antics.

I feel like Cole would do this, only they won't be straight up swears. Oh no... He'd use it in a random sentence as a enchancer of sort in front of Harris. But here's the rub. He'd use a swear from a different language and let Harris use it just so he can watch the chaos when Dragonsbayne's ambassador's cousin insults someone from a neighbouring country who uses said language during an important peace treaty meeting or something. Thanks Cole. We love you for making Saft's job a hundred times more harder than it has to be.

This kid really had no business getting caught in his cousin's ongoing drama, but here he is, doing his absolute best. I feel we don't give @goodbyenorthernlights sweet farm boy enough love, cause Harris really is a sweet well meaning kid in my eyes. We need more of him.

Do you think that if Saft is ever worried about being a danger to her loved ones due to the whole dragon thing (or other reasons), one of them tells her "you can't spell Safety without Saft" to cheer her up

Okay corny I know—

This feels very much like something Harris would say. Out of the group I feel like he's the one who tries his hardest to put a light spin on things when everything seems at it's worst. I also love the mental image of Corvidan perhaps trying to make a pun like this and Saft tells him that's awful but she's laughing at the same time so he's satisfied he managed to bring out a laugh from her at least. Also this totally reminds me of the time I went into a supermarket and found a off brand baby device to keep the kiddies safe around the house and I shit you not it legit wrote "SAFTY LOCK" on all it's packaging which made me laugh pretty hard. I have a photo somewhere I should dig it out.

Saft : (To Harris) And you're a sheep herder? Harris : It's what I've been doing since I was a boy, yes. Cole : (Flatly) Oh thank god. We're saved now(!)

(Spoilers for Dragonsbayne but sssh!) sadly I've been lacking time to draw something myself so I very kindly comissioned @artistically-gay for their services to make me a good of mine and @goodbyenorthernlights's dorky young adults. Extremely normal boring human farmer's son finds out he happens to be related to a dragon and he very much has no right to be drawn into the other side of his family's current drama but here he is stuck right in the middle of it and freaking out because he's not used to this kind of stuff.
