I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but could Kashi be an embodiment of reincarnation. Kashi says that he has lived many lives but what if he meant literally so all of those rings were from the different lives he lived and maybe why he is so knowledgeable is because he like despair and the night nurse. They are trans dimensional beings meaning that all his knowledge is from his time on earth and considering he is so developed and emotional intelligence is extremely high. I am not entirely sure that this is actually making sense but if you understand. This is just my take so I might not be true
