so it's looking increasingly likely that renjiro yamaoka aka kazan's dad (that he murdered) is gonna enter the game at some point in the near future and i have mixed feelings on the subject.
on one hand id prefer getting any kind of canon oni + spirit interactions (like a mini tome entry set in the fog or something) to getting another yamaoka in the game if the dev team is expanding upon the existing cursed legacy/shattered bloodline lore. i was kinda hoping they'd go this route since we already have a canon tome entry from post-abduction kazan's perspective. like i know the tome entries are there to establish/expand upon character backstories first and foremost but there isn't anything technically stopping them from writing in-Fog lore for their survivors/killers. come onnnnnn.
on the other hand i think it would be really funny if kazan couldnt show up to trial bc renjiro grounded him
