Our main cast! Chosen by their respective clan leaders out of necessity and desperation, these young cats have been given the seemingly impossible task of finding a way to stop the beast terrorizing their clans.
The leaders don't want to send their youngest clanmates out into the world alone, but with warriors in short supply, they have no choice. They must hope that, in a time when StarClan refuses to guide them, these ten apprentices will be able to work together and save the clans... somehow.
Meet the leaders of the clans, revealed at the week 2 gathering! These three cats have all been heavily battered by loss since the beast attacks began, and tensions are only rising as their decisions are called into question.
Halfstar has taken the most initiative in trying to keep the clans united, but Runningstar seems to disagree with the newest leader's ideas. Eelstar, though he holds his true feelings close to his chest, has opted to support Halfstar.
It was Halfstar's idea to send the apprentices on their quest. No matter their opinions of one another, Runningstar and Eelstar both agreed to her plan.

How it works:
Like the game Werewolf, a cat in one of the clans is actually a were-beast in disguise! It is up to the chosen ten cats to discover the identity of the beast (based on the random relationship values/events in Clangen).
Unlike Werewolf, the chosen cats must also figure out a way to stop or kill the beast before it kills them.
This comic also incorporates the random events present in Clangen. The cats can still be killed by injury, illness, and random chance, along with the monthly attacks by the beast.
One moon in-game represents one week in the comic. Every fourth comic is the new moon, which is when the beast appears and has a chance to kill.
I won’t be confirming or denying any plot-related questions about the beast, but feel free to send in mechanical questions and theories!
