i don't think anyone on tumblr dot com besides a niche community is going to understand this BUT good lord scratch pisses me off.

i fucking hate the spammers and the fact that we had to deal with a?? fucking pedophile?????? a few weeks ago? with no moderation tools.

all the scratch moderation does for managers of chat studios is close comments when things get particularly bad and the host isn't online. it's ridiculous.

the least they could do is offer a feature like 'curator comments only' on studios. it would prevent a lot of spam and a lot of trolling.

the only issue with curator only comments is new people joining. and that's a small price to pay for a much easier way to handle these situations.

that and a block button, which the scratch team has DOUBLED DOWN that they will not add even though users have practically begged for it.

How an aesthetic maker user on scratch feels making a "__ comm" with the most unbearably unreadable descriptions with the laxest rules ever and then starting 5 massive dramas and getting nuked by st 6 subsequent times. Ive already talked about this on the studio itself but i think the idea of having the insanely popular person who made this studio suddenly make another chatroom feels. Odd. I dont know, Hannissa is absolutely allowed to do what she wants but i feel like suddenly making like a sister studio with seemingly no real distinctions feels like she just got bored of dbd or something and wants to make a new place.

And sure, fine, but like. Why? You know. It feels pointless and strange and i personally dont like the studio members being on two different studios.

To introduce tumblr to some niche fandom discourse there was some drama on hashtagthe gaehive and i need to comment about it without spreading drama.

Basically this guy moon was considered a troll,,, basically they use whatever limited tolls the mods or managers have to discourage interaction with this guy.

The reason why is super super simple. The dude said a slur( the k-slur for jewish people ) on-site, then bragged about it offsite. Besides that theyve made off color comments about arabs and jews specifically to marginalize them. Drama starts everywhere around this user and they are doing this where potentially 8 year olds could join and see.

Well one problem, just like watney on dbd, and how i THOUGHT the dahlia drama was gonna go, this guy had friends. Major friends. All of whom were against this trollification. What did they do? You might think. Ask a mod why, ask a mod not to do that criticize the mods on their profiles, not purposefully start drama. Youll never believe it, they started drama, calling it revolts because their friends their dear anti semitic friend was considered a troll.

"Guys were starting a revolt !!" Then they broke rules and purpose and shit. Lamest shit ever. Then when the studio shut down they all wrnt to dbd like "wowee dbd is so much better!" Get your ass OUTTA here. No we dont suppirt anti semitism or racism against arabs.

Whats funniest too is they were all "rule 6 needs a major rework" with NO examples and NO ideas. The rule as written is fine i just think you dont like your bestest little racist buddy was slimed bro.

This obviously isnt all of them this isnt true for all of them please dont get this mixed up but like. Come on man. Lock in.
