I realized that I never actually posted a ref of Rachel before, so here you go! All info below the read more.
Name: Rachel Petreșcu Height: 1.57m (5′2″) Weight: 58.2kg (128lbs) Age: 31 as of November 14th 2038 Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Bisexual Relationship Status: Taken, widowed. Relationships: Bianca (older sister), Hank (close friend), Connor (current partner), Jericho (respected), Markus (friend), North (friend), Josh (friend). Pets: Bear (black Newfoundland dog) and Monty (piebald Ball Python) Other: Has ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome. Has been treated for Depression and Anxiety and deals with various forms of PTSD. Lost her arm in a car accident and now has a prosthetic android arm. To her surprise, she is actually capable of interfacing with androids, although data doesn’t transfer the same way. It does, however, give her the ability to feel the emotions of the android she interfaces with. History: Growing up in Canada, it’s clear that she’s dealt with a lot in the three decades she’s been alive. Yet, despite everything’s she’s gone through, between mental illnesses, suffering abuse, and losing both her arm and her spouse in a horrific car accident, she maintains a rather upbeat and humourous attitude that serves to improve the morale of her workplace. After the accident, she was looked after by her sister, Bianca, who took a job at CyberLife in order to engineer a prosthetic arm for Rachel. Upon completion, Rachel decided she wanted to contribute something meaningful and decided to become an officer at the DPD in Detroit. After serving as an officer, she was promoted to detective and befriended the ornery and irritable drunkard Lieutenant Hank Anderson. Despite their near polar opposite attitudes towards life and towards androids, they bonded over their shared losses and their foulmouthed attitudes. They’ve remained close friends ever since and their friendship has only grown closer during the events of the revolution and through their partnership with Connor. Personality: Foulmouthed, irritable, determined, stubborn, bold, and a bit of a cynic. It was no wonder she got along so well with Hank. Yet, unlike him, she was a lot more of an optimist and a hopeful soul than he was. And she was unwaveringly compassionate towards others and has no shame about it as it’s not a weakness for her. Yet, she won’t hesitate to stand up against injustice where she sees it. Despite her brave, strong, bold, and unbreakable spirit, she struggles with inner demons every day and isn’t shy of sharing her darknesses with others, unlike the lieutenant who’s extremely reserved and selective when it comes to his personal issues. She also has a very mischevious sense of humour, self-describing herself as a bastard and a little shit. She also has quite the affinity for puns and wordplay jokes, much to the annoyance of everyone around her. Underneath the scrappy persona lies an incredibly intelligent person, her mind constantly active and seeing connections and making insights into so many aspects of everyday life from the big to the small. Indeed, she was someone with a lot on her mind and a lot to say about a given topic. If she knows a lot about something, she could talk about it for hours on end without rest, which goes to show not only how knowledgeable she was, but how passionate and how much effort and thought she puts into everything she cares about and believes in. Her greatest strengths are also her greatest weaknesses. Her powerful sense of justice motivates her in the face of adversity, but it can lead to her pushing everything aside and potentially hurting those she cares about and potentially putting others at risk. Her unwavering faith in others and her compassion is a great strength in many cases, but in others, it can lead to her being taken advantage of.
