Headcanon: Inquiry has occasionally borrowed one of DC's feathers when she needs to write something down and can't find a quill.
DC: Molting season is her favourite, she "stocks up" as she puts it.

hiii. what are your thoughts on dc ending? will ran be able to be okay with knowing the fact that shinichi used to be conan? like, what is the aftermath of bringing down the bo?
-
At the moment, I really don't know what to expect for the ending of DC as a whole. I've seen various imaginings on how it might all go down, but truthfully, there's just too much to juggle to try and figure out how it might all happen.
During the entire series, the confrontations with the BO have been covert by necessity. It's always been 'here's our known group of evil agents, how will our own hero and his allies foil them this time', and at the moment that's about all that could still happen. With the agents in play and the information Shinichi's team has, it would be really easy to make a scenario where the BO gets outplayed and taken down.
But the (presumably) last BO buildup for the boss needs to be setup first. He's the factor that decides how the BO could be taken down, and not just the agents. While Gin and co could be taken down with a proper dramatic spy showdown, the entire org would likely need even more information and receipts to tie all the crime together to hold everything accountable to the law, and all that. The detective drama side of cornering with inescapable logic to go with the flashy use of guns and bombs.
But right now, there's no clear way of how it'd all end. If it's taken care of properly, Amuro's section of the police will probably be taking care of the long term clean up of the group. If there's no dramatic moment of getting the data about APTX from computers during the confrontation(s), then there might be some strings pulled either by Amuro or by the FBI to get that information. Any outcome, I do see Gosho giving Shinichi the permanent antidote. Whether Haibara takes it or not is a toss up, but he's getting his old self back.
And whether Shinichi tells Ran the truth before or after getting the antidote, she'd be okay with it as long as he actually gets to explain. I personally am a fan of 'she already knows and has just stopped trying to pry', but even if she doesn't know, I don't think it'd surprise her. She'd probably have questions, but she's been close to figuring it out plenty of times. She was originally getting upset at the idea because of all the lies thrown around to divert her attention and the idea of 'if he's right there, why not just tell her instead of leaving her to worry', but after he told her his feelings in London, it's just not as big a deal as it used to be. He loves her, and as long as she knows that, Ran trusts Shinichi. When he finally tells her, she'll hear him out.
more changeling DC?
Those wings give me both joy and frustration
Metamorphosis belongs to @askashapeshifter
Lumina and Quizlet are Inquiry's kids; is Lobelia related to DC?
While changeling canon is a little different and very well defined by @askashapeshifter Lobelia is very much DC's future daughter.
Dream Catcher, who's in your mother's side of the family?
DC: Maybe I'll try and reach out to some of them. Eventually..
Twilight: I must know why you have huge wings
DC: It's an inconvenience sometimes, but there can be perks to having larger wings too.
🍎[If memory serves, I believe DC's favorite food was cinnamon waffles at a breakfast place when his shift is over.]
DC absolutely loves his cinnamon waffles, but he also loves just spending a bit of time after his shift being around his team mates. Lancer and Lullaby might be a little on the loud side, but they're basically family, and he loves them both dearly.
Cupcakes or full-sized cake?
(( To be fair. I'm biased. A huge portion of my work revolves around making full sized cakes haha! ))
