Random Fun Facts from my Boku no Magic Hero story
}I{
It took a long time for Jason Blood and Etrigan to get used to using the Astral Crystals. They’re used to talking to each other via thoughts but the Astral Crystals have messed with that a bit, causing some of the 'thought communications' to be said aloud. They eventually got used to it. However, Etrigan uses the Astral Crystals to speak his mind to whoever is around w/o much care about the consequences.
Izuku is fluent in Japanese, (British) English, most dialects of Chinese, and Spanish since his father knows many languages. He can understand other languages but can't converse as well in those. Like Jason, Izuku can read any language in front of him, even a few dead ones. (You can NOT tell me that Jason Blood didn’t learn a couple of different languages over his many, many, many years on Earth. So of course, he would know multiple languages and teach any kid he would raise a few).
Izuku and Katsuki have a healthier relationship since the former does have Magic even if it's not a Quirk. And Izuku is great at retelling the stories from his father's days with the JL.
Despite Terragan (Ertigan's daughter, and affectionately called Terra) and Izuku ending up like their respective fathers in terms of sharing a body, their relationship is pretty much "Oh hey, we're siblings now". So their banter and antics are sibling-like (and nothing more to their relationship).
UA is one of the few Hero Schools that can teach Magic to those with Magic. They do have a Potion Making Course, but it's for 2nd-year students and it requires the Students to take the Home Ec/Cooking Course during their first year. Granted, the Home Ec/Cooking Course is more for general ed than for the Magic Electives, but it's an oddly popular class so space for Home Ec/Cooking fills out quickly. The UA students with Magic get priority selection for the Home Ec/Cooking Course.
Yagi Toshinori teaches the Magic Electives while All Might teaches General Heroing. So far only the UA Staff, Jason Blood, Etrigan, Nabu, Izuku, and Terra know that they're one and the same.
Bakago and Terra are rather competitive and try to outdo each other. Izuku is both the peacekeeper and keeps track of the scores. Their most common competition is the nicknames they come up with for their classmates.
Until the story comes out!
Okay, finally got around to reading the DC KO Lex vs Etrigan Death Match, and… I’m calling major BS on what happened in the final fight between those two (and the comic issue itself)! For legitimate reasons!
Reason #1: Even if you ignore the fact that Lex wouldn’t have known any of the Incantations for Etrigan, he was using THE WRONG ONE in that fight! Lex used the incantation that “Summons Etrigan from Blood”! Etrigan was ALREADY THERE! You might as well be turning on a flashlight to light up a room when it’s already bright enough to see everything.
Reason #2: Another major thing about that same Incantation, it DOES NOT work in the way that happened in that fight! If that were true in any continuity that involves Etrigan, then Batman, Zatanna, John Constantine, Glenda Marks, Harry Matthews, Madame Xanadu, and Randu Singh would’ve “become Etrigan’s host” when they had to use the ‘Yarva Demonicus’ incantation. And if you try to say that you have to have Magic to make it work in “Lex’s Way”, 4/7th of the people on the list in the prior sentence that had uttered the ‘Yarva Demonicus’ incantation have some form of Magic. Also, while I’m not too up-to-date with the DC comic lore, I’m pretty sure Lex (in any incarnation) never actually used Magic himself. So the whole ‘has to have Magic to become Etrigan’s host’ theory for this issue is completely false.
The 1st & 2nd Reasons are what make me think that the writers of this series most likely never read any comic issues or seen any episodes with Etrigan in them if they are using the Yarva Demonicus Incantation in the wrong way and just know the bare minimum for the character 😒.
Reason #3: Lex, sir, should you REALLY be thinking about your screwed up moralities in the middle of a f**king Death Match where you are fighting a literal demon from hell who is on the same power-level as Superman but with 0% of Superman’s restraint/morals and is known to be a sadist? Yeah, no, I don’t know what the writers were thinking when they shoved this into the issue, but it was both distracting and it made me (the reader) believe that Lex wasn’t putting in all of his efforts in this Death Match… And THAT made Lex’s victory in the second match seem very undeserved, not to mention kind of half-arsed. Oh, and that annoying monologue of Lex’s took up a little more than HALF of the damn issue! Hell, the fact that we had so much of Lex’s inner dialogue made me think that I got the wrong comic issue by mistake.
Reason #4: On that same note about Lex apparently not putting much effort in the Death Match, THAT should’ve been a perfect opportunity for the writers to showcase that Etrigan is a LOT smarter than he seems, (and give Lex a serious wake-up call for both this Death Match and him assuming that he can outthink The Demon). Yeah, Etrigan is a surprisingly intelligent/cunning character and can think up some effective strategies, he’s not just brawn and hellfire despite him mostly defaulting to those.
Reason #5: Following up on #4, like how there should have been more Etrigan using his brains, there should have been more of Lex having to ‘think on his feet’ when he realises that he severely underestimated his opponent. It would have been Great development for both of them and it would’ve been a more interesting battle.
Reason #6: The lack of Jason Blood’s influence over Etrigan. We only got a few frames of him, and they were VERY underwhelming and disappointing 😑. Honestly, it felt like Jason was thrown in as an afterthought when they were nearly done making the issue before realising that he was part of Etrigan and had to put him in there in some way. Also… Considering that Jason Blood is an Arthurian Knight with TONS of battle experience (both physical and magical), been through Hell and back several times (literally and figuratively), and has been through some nasty shite… Nope! I’m not saying more than that to avoid spoiling the issue for those who haven’t read it.
Reason #7: Kind of spring boarding off of Reason #3 for this one, all we got was Lex’s inner thoughts and absolutely none of the possible fun banter between Etrigan and Jason Blood within their minds! That would have been a much better way to help pad out the issue than having to read just Lex asking himself the same questions in his inner monologue that we didn’t need! Come on, couldn’t we have Lex trying to think about how he plans to defeat Superman during the first match while we can have Etrigan and Jason Blood ‘chatting’ about this whole thing and maybe have them strategise during the three Matches?
Reason #8: HOW the 3rd Match ended. Not saying anymore on that to avoid spoilers, but I will add that it DOES NOT make ANY SENSE for EITHER character and it REALLY felt like a cop-out.
Reason #9: NOT enough actual interactions/banter between Etrigan and Lex! Sure, they fought against one another in this issue, hence the title, but there was hardly any back-and-forth banter between them! We got a few frames of it, but that was all.
Reason #10: I don’t know if this is because I got the Lex vs Etrigan issue on the Kindle and they format their ‘pages’ differently, but 20 pages for a 3 Round Death Match felt a little short. (There were actually 25 pages, but one page was the cover and 4 pages were advertising other comic issues, so I those don’t count those in the story). This Reason might be more me being a little nit-picky than anything, tbh, but it might’ve factored into the writing.
Yeah, can you tell that I didn’t exactly like this issue? There was so much they could do on both Lex and Etrigan’s parts in this and it felt like they just went with the bare minimum for both to use as filler for the DC KO series.
So~, I’m going to write a Lex vs Etrigan three-chapter story 😈. Yeah, each chapter is going to be one round of the Death Match where there’s going to be more meat in the battles, banters, and in-betweens.
Stay tuned for that in the future~ 😈. (Don’t worry, I am going to be working on my other stories)

Let the Magical Year start!
Oh hell, someone shoot me... or at least help me find a way to shut the section of my brain that seems to be constantly creating A/Us until I can finish one A/U project...
Here's a Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia A/U with some DC crossovers due to Jason Blood being Izuku's biological father (and being active in Izuku's life). Going to just call it Boku no Magic Hero for now.
Here's a basic timeline...
Jason has been out of the Hero game since the Justice League disbanded roughly two decades or so before the surge of Quirks. He still helps out if something happens when he's in the area, but other than that, he's pretty much settled into civilian life (with a few magical exceptions). He, and Etrigan by extension, moved to Japan when the Quirk Surge was at its peak and as he and the other Magic Users tried to keep the world's magic alive by scattering and trying to find and recruit individuals that could channel magic. But as time went on and the former League members and Magic Users started thinning out.
With some thinking and proper planning, Jason opened a nice little establishment where people can unwind, which he called Magix Machina. This establishment also helps Jason with his search for individuals that can channel magic within a sea of Quirk users. But a year after Jason opened Magix Machina, he heard the news of the death of the other last former member of the Justice League and then the host to Dr Fate passed away. Jason received the Helmet of Fate (or Nabu as he likes to be called when it's just him) in the mail a week after the news, so now all that remains of the Justice League and Magic was Jason Blood (plus Etrigan by extension) and Nabu.
Jason created a golem body for Nabu to use as a way to move around and help out at Magix Machina. Nabu obviously doesn't like it because he doesn't have magic to draw on from the golem, meaning he can't use magic at all, but it was essentially better than sitting on a shelf collecting dust. It takes a few months, but eventually, they slowly started finding people with magic. One of those people is Midoriya Inko (I would say who some of the others are, but I'll save them for later~). The magic lessons go very well with each of the individuals, much to the joy of Jason-Sensei, Nabu-Sensei, and Etrigan-Sensei (he taught the more combative magic).
As life continues, Jason and Inko end up growing closer and then to none of the other students' surprise, the two end up marrying. Then eventually have a son named Izuku. He's pretty much like his canon counterpart tbh. Izuku is still Quirkless by age 5. Jason has guilt over that since he is technically "Quirkless" by the world’s standard. Jason does tell Izuku that it is possible to be a hero w/o powers and tells him stories about his time in the Justice League. Izuku, being the little Hero Otaku he is, absorbed every one of his dad's stories with glee. And much to the child's joy, he inherited his parents' magical abilities.
On this note, Izuku's relationship with Katsuki is more on the healthy side in this. Since Izuku DOES have an ability even if it’s not a Quirk, Katsuki doesn’t start ripping on the greenette for being “worthless” (which means Kacchan is going to be using a different nickname for Izuku in this... Might need to think a bit on that). Things get a little more complicated between the two when they turned 7 when a small chain of events caused Izuku to accidentally summon and bond with Etrigan's newly "acquired" Daughter, Terragan (OC). So now the duo is now a trio, technically. It took a while to get use to Terragan, or Terra as Izuku likes to call her.
Thanks to a pair of Astral Crystals that Jason managed to grow, Etrigan and Terragan can be seen and heard by mortals when not in control but they can't do anything to anyone as a trade-off. The Astral Crystals also work on Jason and Izuku when Etrigan and Terragan are in control. So imagine how school was for Katsuki and Izuku with a demon kid around (*cough*chaos*cough*).
When the kids are 10, there was a bit of a dry spell of finding new magic sensitive individuals, which is when one of the Magic Students suggest that Jason get back into the Hero Business as a way to raise awareness for Magic. After some careful thinking and some encouragement from Inko, Izuku, and surprisingly Katsuki, Jason (and Etrigan by extension of course) makes his decision.
While Jason/Etrigan re-integrate back into the Hero Society and learn how different things are compared to when he was with the Justice league, Katsuki, Izuku, and Terra train to get into UA!
(Fun little fact with Etrigan and Terragan in this, they are immune to fire-based attacks due to them being from Hell)
Go ahead and send me asks about this A/U! (Time to open another doc for this).
