Birdflash Exchange
We still want the exchange to be able to happen, but do to issues in the lives of the mods we have been delayed. I'm hoping to get a sign-up out this weekend and push the due-date back about a month for the reveals to be around Christmas, still giving everyone about 2 months to write. Bear with us.
The DCU Rarepair Exchange is an event to celebrate pairings and trios that are underappreciated or underprovided for in the DCU Fandom. The Exchange is an opportunity to have more content produced for rarepairs!
How does it work?
Content creators signing up for the Exchange will be asked to select three rarepairs or rarepolys they are interested in receiving a Gift for. The Gift they are given will be for one of these rarepair preferences. Gifts can take the form of written fics or artworks. All creators who signed up will have their preferences assigned to a Giftor, and will be assigned a Giftee themselves.
You’ll then have one month to prepare your Gift!
How much do I have to write/create?
Gifts must be a minimum of 1000 words for fics, but there is no word limit if Giftors choose to write more. Alternatively, Giftors may submit one completed art-piece as their Gift, but additional artworks are not discouraged.

Pinch hits #1 - #2 (Jason Todd-centric Exchange 2025)

A pinch hit is a fanwork produced for a request that's in need of fulfilment either because there were no offers that matched to it or because the participant assigned the request defaulted." - Fanlore.org
To claim a pinch hit, send a message to sashene on discord or [email protected] with the pinch hit's number and your AO3 username.
The gifted work should be a new, complete story in English that is at least 2000 words long or a piece of artwork that is at least a clean, finished, colored line art on unlined paper. The deadline for the exchange is September 22nd 10:00 PM UTC.
