Genuinely funny, no offense, that someone tried to send me a thread about Gretchen Felker Martin on twitter and why they didn't have hope for the comic even though I said I didn't want to talk about it anymore, and I simply couldn't read the thread. Because I do not have twitter. Again, no offence, it's just funny that my decision to protect my peace has led me to protecting my peace. Feels rewarding.
Also, nothing to do with that particular ask, I just wanted to clarify that when I say I don't want to talk about the upcoming comic anymore, I will absolutely speak/rb about the transmisogyny if (more probably when) i have to. I'm not saying GFM is perfect, I don't know her and I've seen some takes that suggest I might not agree with her on everything, but the fact that a woman, and especially a trans woman, would be anything less than perfect, or that she could even be (gasp) annoying, should not matter this much in a fandom that is so quick to disregard Dixon's, King's or Lobdell's intense ethical shortcomings. You do still have to stand up for queer people- and you do still owe basic respect and decency to human beings, even when they engage into internet discourse over queer representation in YA twitter.
