Finally finished off Wasp! Blabbering and the "with character notes" version of the piece under the cut~

Against popular belief, brutes are not always larger than the average pinstripe demon [although Wasp herself definitely is] and instead brutes are characterized by a short-fused strong temper and thick scale plates. Almost all pinstripes have scale plates but those on brutes are very visible and almost act as armor.

A crossbow bolt in the wrong place will simply piss them off rather than do enough damage---the plates are more like bone than actual scales. The neck, the groin, and the eyes are typically considered weak spots due to less of or a complete lack of plating.

Brutes often make names for themselves as they’re so difficult to scare off or hunt and will throw themselves into battle the second they feel threatened.

Wasp knows that there’s nothing the cryptid hunters in the valley could do. Even if they wanted to drive her out, they wouldn’t have much of a chance. She’s much bigger than average, leads over a dozen pinstripes, and is a particularly nasty brute. She keeps up her end of the deal with Alcina's team solely because she doesn’t want them to pester her, and she knows that she can get easy meals or disease immunity through it.

Besides, just because she’s a brute doesn’t mean her colony demons are and she doesn’t want them to get hurt. Colonies LOVE brutes. Because of their tempers they don’t always make the best leaders and are often not suited for the role, but brutes make good hunters. They can throw themselves into any situation and are less likely to come out of it wounded. They survive bigger hits and falls and frequently come back with meals.

Cryptids!!! Yesterday I wanted to draw them during winter and that’s pictured here with sunny!! During winter, Cryptids become very very fluffy, and slow, and groggy. They also dig up burrows to live in so they can stay warmer during the winter, and eat a lot before going into a state of hibernation!!

Behaviors vary between different types of Cryptids, but this is generally what they do ^^
