Celebrating Awesomeness At The AUIN 2015: For The Makers From The Makers
The AutoDesk University India and SAARC 2015 was filled with elements of grandeur and ‘oomph’ gripping the senses of the audience with sound and light extravaganza. That being said, the convention served as the largest platform (3000 people!) for knowledge exchange and industry updates.
The mammoth sized screen dazed one and all!
Honorable CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the event and spoke about how the entire world, including India is moving towards precision.
“The world is looking up to India not only as one of the most potential nations to invest but also as an innovation hub. This is the right time to invest in technologies such as 3D printing which not only enhances one’s creativity but also helps in designing our dream,” he said.
Pattrick Williams, VP, AutoDesk Worldwide, grabbed the awes of the audience when he drove the DC Avanti, India’s first super car, designed by none other than Dilip Chhabria (Founder, DC Designs) himself.
While Williams highlighted the changes in design industry brought by the changing shopping behavior, Chhabria had a message for the youth- You have the world as marketplace. Get a dream. Be super specialist and you’ll never go hungry!
Guruprasad Rao, Director, Imaginarium India, along with Dr.Vijay Shetty, Orthopaedic surgeon, Hiranandani, introduced something that could represent one of the best interventions of 3D printing in medical sector – a Hand Cast.
The 3D printed cast allows the skin to breath, aids easy application of medicines, and even facilitates the patient to bath/shower without any restrictions. The Hand Cast instantly shot to fame as the next fad in medical printing.
The event also introduced key players of India Maker Movement thereby encouraging the DIY and Make in India initiatives.
Team Imaginarium had a brilliant time at the event, on future of making, learning and living, and thank AutoDesk for partnering with us. Looking forward to more such knowledgeable conferences in future.
