Summary: In a time of oppression, the Winchester brothers and their family of misfit pirates sail the seas attacking slave traders and offering the liberated passage to safe-havens, or–if they choose it–a home on the Impala as part of Team Free Will. 

Dean meets Castiel, a Naval Captain with orders to enlist him and his band of honorable sea rovers as privateers. Dean refuses, but they end up working together when Castiel offers his vessel as transport for some rescued slaves. Castiel, in turn, travels with Dean as collateral to ensure there is no foul play. 

Along the way, Castiel witnesses the horrors of slavery and begins to doubt his cause, even fighting alongside Dean against a French vessel–Castiel’s own people. Castiel comes to admire this wild crew and their kind hearts…falling for one man in particular.

Well Hello!!

Seems like this is now the usual for me: yada yada, I’m alive, here is some Destiel for DCBB!! Hahahaha, more than that this art was done for Nickelkeep, who I absolutely adore!! I was so happy I when I picked out her fic: For The Last Time.

Here is the summary to get you interested:

It's been three years since Dean's had any kind of vacation. Until now. Sam and Eileen gift him a cruise as a thank you for all the things he's done for Sam, for them, for the whole family.

A week away at sea seems like an ideal vacation. Still, when your name is Dean Winchester, and nothing in your life has ever gone your way, it looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Can a new friend help him turn his luck around and help him navigate the rough waters?

Yes, you read that right, Destiel in a cruise ship!! This fic was just so much fun to read, but it also had some heart stoppingly amazing moment that make me totally swoon!

About the Art: Well, Charlie was too sassy to pass up and the scene with Dean and Cas doing the forehead touch too adorable.

But the highlight is the watercolor piece for sure. I am absolutely in love with both the scene on the fic and the art! This was a huge experiment for me, when I came up with the idea I didn’t even know if it was possible to successfully pull it off, I looked everyone for anyone doing something like this with watercolors but found no examples at all, so I ended up going in totally blind, just trusting my gut. Needless to say, I am more than delighted with the outcome, I even put it up as my phone wall paper, witch like... I never do that with my own art. Maybe I’ll post the process pics later, it’s absolutely crazy!!

thanks to DCBB 2019 my new favorite Destiel AUs are dancers and pirates and I can’t stop thinking about them

I’ll be like “oh can’t wait to read the fanfiction I was reading” and then I’ll either think of pirates or dancers and then I’ll be like “oh no I finished it. shit.”

Hi here are my 2019 DCBB recs from what I’ve read so far:

An Unearthly Season by Superhoney

If you like Magical realism and high fantasy and also slow burn.... boy o boy this one is for you. Also a really good re-working of chuck/amara.

Into The Whale’s Mouth by Jordinawrites

This one is so good, really interesting premise that I haven’t seen before. I wish it was twice as long and had a lot more depth to it, but it’s pretty fantastic as is. if you like modern day AU and have an interest in storm chasing or weather then I recommend this fic.

Lifetime Piling Up by Mittenwraith

I just finished this one a couple hours ago! Doctor Cas, tattoo artist Dean. It’s pretty good, lots of interesting A and B plots. Very sweet n tender. Also fucking is involved. Modern AU.

Ship Happens by DarcyDelaney

BOOOOOOOY lemme just say. I really liked the writing of this one in particular. lovely story, lovely writing, really fun premise. I was immersed immediately and had a great time. It’s about forbidden romance on a cruise ship but with pretty low stakes so it’s not emotionally stressful. I really liked this one, hard recommend. Another Modern AU.

this is the one that made me a bit sad bc in it Dean is depressed. But it’s a sweet romance with a lil homophobia involved so read the tags before diving in for sure. more modern AU.
