DCJ Bingo 2022 Survey!

Before I officially open this blog I would like to hear your thoughts on the type of cards and prompts that will be on offer. I would love it if you could please take a few minutes to share your thoughts.

Rules

This is a safe space for DCJ creators. Please respect each other and each other's creations. 

General

Your personalised card will be emailed to you within (1) week. You can begin creating and posting as soon as you receive your card. 

If you're unhappy with your card you can have up to (5) squares changed. Simply email [email protected] with your registered username and which squares you want changed within (2) weeks of receiving your card. You can specify your replacement squares or leave it up to chance. Please remember the more information you give on your sign-up form the easier it is to ensure your card is well-suited to your preferences. 

All creations must be tagged with relevant content warnings (see below for more). 

Any post containing 'anti' tags will not be counted as a fill. No hate will be tolerated outside the narrative of your creations. 

All lgbtqia+ readings of the characters are welcome, including but not limited to: rule 63, sexual orientation, and gender identity. 

Other pairings are welcome but please remember the focus of this bingo is Dean/Cas/Jimmy. 

Collaborating on squares is welcome! Please tag all collaborators in your creations. 

No combining squares. A new work must be created for each square. However, if you are writing a multi-chapter fic you can use a different square for each chapter. 

Squares are open to interpretation! If you have any questions please send an Ask or email [email protected]. 

There is a limit of (1) personalised card per person, including collaborators (meaning: a two-person collaboration team can have (2) personalised cards between them). If you would like another card there are (6) premade cards to choose from. 

All works shared on Tumblr must be tagged with #dcjbingo22 in the first (5) tags (the #dcjbingo tag is optional) so your creations can be found. Please don't submit your posts to the blog unless your creation has not been reblogged within (3) days. 

A semi-customisable photo manipulation of DCJ will be awarded to anyone who achieves a Bingo Blackout on their personalised card! Blackouts will be checked after Masterposts are posted and winners will be contacted via email within (2) weeks to discuss the content of their prize. 

In order to count towards your Bingo Blackout all fanworks must be shared on Tumblr even if it's just a link to Ao3. 

Anyone who scores a Bingo Blackout but doesn't submit a Masterpost will not be eligible for the free photo manipulation. 

If you don't have a Tumblr account but still want a personalised card, you must have an Ao3 account to share your creations. 

Creations posted only to Ao3 must be added to the official DCJ Bingo Ao3 Collection. 

You can create for as many or as few squares as you like. Achieving a Bingo Blackout is a helluva feat but even filling one square is something to celebrate! 

Fanworks 

Bingo fills can be any of the fanwork types listed below. Please note that you are not allowed to alter the works of others to use in your creations, such as: using someone else's fanart in your moodboard, adding text or filters to someone else's gifs, making podfic of someone else's story, or making anything as an homage to an existing fanwork whether it's yours or someone else's. 

This bingo is for new original fanworks only. 

All creations must mention the bingo square being filled in the body of the post. Update: tagging nsfw content removes the post from Tumblr's search so please keep nsfw mentions in the body of the post. 

Images must be edited beyond a simple screencap. 

Visual and audio posts must include some kind of text description in the body of the post, even if it's just a few words. 

Written works must be in fic or poetry form; drabbles will not be counted as a fill. 

Any fanworks with triggering content must include relevant warnings in the post. This includes but is not limited to: MCD, body horror, underage, incest, mpreg, suicide attempt/ideation, drug use, alcoholism, abuse, non-con, graphic violence, bestiality, and necrophilia. Please do not use (*) in trigger words, example: inc*st or inc*est because Tumblr's filter won't censor that content for people who do not want to see it. Failure to warn appropriately means your creation will not be counted as a fill. If you're unsure about relevant content warnings please don't hesitate to send an Ask or email. 

Rec lists and translations of existing fic are not acceptable fills. 

All pairings must be mentioned either in the body of your post or in the tags. 

Fics posted to Ao3 must have a minimum of (5) 'Additional Tags'. This helps readers find or filter your fic. If you're having trouble tagging your fic you can send an Ask or email for assistance. 

Written works over 500 words posted on Tumblr must include a "read more" divider. 

Written works over 1k words posted on Tumblr must also be posted to Ao3 and added to the official DCJ Bingo Ao3 Collection. This is a requirement whether you're working from a personalised or premade card. Works posted to Ao3 reach more readers and that's what we want! 

All fic must have a rating either in the body of the post or in the tags. Fics posted to Ao3 tagged as 'Not Rated' will not be counted as a fill. Please Note: tagging a Tumblr post with #explicit prevents it from showing up in the search. To work around this you can simplify with: #rating: e or keep the word "explicit" in the body of your post where it won't be censored by the search. 

Your bingo fills can be any of the following types of fanworks (if there is a fanwork type missing from this list please send an Ask or Email): 

Fanfiction minimum = 500 words 

Poetry minimum = 250 words 

Fanart / Graphic / Photo Manip / Comic minimum = 1 image, HD

Moodboard minimum = 6 images 

Picspam minimum = 6 images 

Gifset minimum = 2 images, at least 250px wide each 

Playlist minimum = 6 songs + 1 piece of original art 

Fanvid minimum = 30 seconds 

Podfic / Audiofic minimum = 1 minute (original fic only) 

Post formatting is up to you but fanfiction must include: Rating, Wordcount, Warnings, and Pairings.

thankyou to the few folks who participated in this year! we didn't get many new creations for this ship but even a handful is a win. 💕

next year i'll look at streamlining the schedule and doing a bit more promotion to get more creations out of it.
