Disney College Program!! Spring Advantage 2015

Hello everyone...or anyone? I am Vivian! Excuse my name for the time being..but, welcome to my undeveloped blog....which will soon be about my new journey on the DCP at Walt Disney World in Florida! I'm not really sure how to do this yet, so bare with me. I guess I can begin with myself. I'm 21 years old, from Texas! I attended Grambling State University & am a member of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band. Ummm next...Lol I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM!!!! 😃😄🙌🙌💃 (clearly huh?) Well I applied at the end of September, and was accepted November 4, 2014!! I got the position of Quick Service Food & Beverage! I do not know my location yet. My Dates are February 9, 2015 - August 7, 2015 I'm just filling in on everything at the moment because I'm starting late on everything. I will soon be vlogging! I haven't made the channel ._. So ....soon I will update that Anywho..I can't express the amount of excitement I have bubbling inside of me! It's a dream to work at WDW and I'm so.....excited!! I think this is it for now....my next will be on my bucket list...

Of Sickness, Class Registration, and Roommates

I have been super sick the past 5ish days, and I am 100% done. I missed class today, I hate missing class. It makes me super sad.

  Speaking of class, Disney class registration was this morning at 8am (Mountain time). The Facebook pages immediately lit up with excitement and frustration. People were having trouble logging on and DORMS kept crashing due to the high volume of people trying to do the same thing at the same time.

  I was, and still am, one of the fortunate ones who cannot log on. I tried constantly for the first 90 minutes, yes 90 MINUTES. Since then I have tried every 30 minutes for 5 minutes. I have officially come to the conclusion that I am not meant to take classes and therefore will not. At least this session, the class I want to take is still available during the summer, so I might try again then.

  Anywho, my roommate hunt is completely on hold. I found two fabulous ladies, Amity and Makaela, both of whom I am excited to spend time with and I believe we will be friends. :D With the increase of people being accepted, there is an increase of people who are looking for roommates, and a large percentage of those speak to their “potential new roommate” (fellow Greeks laugh at that the way I did? No, okay) for like 5 seconds and say “YUP, LEZZ DOO IT”. I have never been one to immediately and quickly make a decision, other than accepting my offer ;), so it’s driving me nuts.

  That’s all for now, but I had to “rant” a little, (yes this is a mild rant) about class registration.

90 Days until check-in!

I am still so excited.

  Still VERY excited.

  Yesterday, my mother gave me my birthday present—even though my birthday is in December. ;) She bought my plane ticket to Orlando. It’s a one way, nonstop flight, so it is bound to have a lot of little happy children, and me, that are excited about going to Disney World!!

  I am actually not struggling with schoolwork as much as I thought I would be. I think that’s because I know that if I do really well this semester nothing will hold me back when I finally get to Florida, or my birthday, which is the last day of Finals.

  Any-who, I should probably go to bed, its midnight, but I couldn’t let this day pass by without announcing my plane ticket. :D

My Disney College Program Spring Advantage dates are 2/2-8/7 I'm having awful luck on Facebook, everyone seems to pick roommates so quickly! We will be living with each other, I'm not going to talk to you via the internet for less that 30 minutes and decide to live with you.
