The corridors of the place Merida found herself in were cool and dark, narrow and hard to see down, much like her home. But unlike the castle these felt... wrong. There was no lived-in feel to them, no soft snores echoing from the numerous occupants that had grown to be a comfort, rather than an annoyance. There was no knowledge that should she scream, someone would be there to help.
For all their similarities, this place was very, very much different. This was not her home, and though she was loathe to show it, she was scared. She had no idea how she'd gotten here and though she'd seen people she knew, they'd quickly been separated. She had to get out. Her steps were quick and quiet as a mouse, all her years of silent hunting in the forests being put to use-- until she froze, as a light caught her eye.
It was a candelabra, floating as if by an invisible hand, at the end of the corridor. It took everything in her not to scream.
Knock knock- is anyone there?| DCRP halloween event open
Vidia trembled slightly as she walked down the scarcely illuminated hallway; Normally she would have flown, but there was something entirely unsettling about flying down through the darkness. No. For once she would opt to take this journey on foot.
She paused as she came to a large set of double doors. A loud, and yet seemingly muffled sound, seemed to be coming from the other side. Gulping, the small fairy hesitantly reached out, knocking on the thick door. "Who's there?" she demanded, trying to sound as intimidating as possible
"All this rain is bad for my hair!"
"You put me down right now, or you’re gonna get it!" the boy called out as he began flailing about as he continued to stare at the other person with a small glare.
