he was going to get in SO SO SO much trouble. he could hear his mother now about how he shouldn’t have risked himself or put himself in so much danger. but he knew that it was going to be just worth it. it was his SISTER after all and he missed her. they didn’t see each other very often - barely ever because sonia was always on top of him and making sure that he was not doing anything he shouldn’t be doing. like going to see selena. but he was and he went to the meeting place they would usually meet at. 

     “ it was a lot harder to get out tonight than normal. it’s like mom knew. but she eventually passed out on the couch. “

He ended up back in New York. It seemed like an instinct to go back, even though he wasn’t going back to Myra. He was sure if he went back to her, he’d have to deal with her freaking out, plus he was sure that his friends would have told her that he was dead. He would hope that they would, if they assumed he was dead, right? If that wasn’t the case, he might have just ended up ripping into her. Better safe to stay away.

Still, it left him with nowhere to go, and he couldn’t have booked a hotel on a credit card. So he was using up what cash he had left when he had gone to Derry, and he was staying in a hotel.

Right now, as he wandered the streets, there was a pretty bad smell like wet dog, and he was making a face. It was so strong, there was no way it was just a single dog that ended up wet, but it also wasn’t raining, so.. what the fuck.

Oh. Right.

Not someone he wanted to run into, because of his whole vampire thing.. but there she was. Werewolf, that’s right..

“Okay, first off,” he started, but didn’t actually know where to start. She was either fucking with him and purposely talking like fucking Yoda, or she was actually that drunk. “No one can do Yoda in any funny way.” Yeah, sure, that was a good first point.

“Secondly, I would be surprised if you weren’t drunk. I saw how much you had.”

Oh, so this town doesn’t realize the killer clown eating its children, but a single werewolf that, as far as he knew, didn’t kill anyone, they notice. Absolute bullshit. This place really was just a shithole; Selena had done nothing, and now they were in this mess of a situation because one asshole decided he was going to solve the town’s wolf problem.

It was all bad timing, really. Eddie never thought the trigger would get pulled, but now he was on the ground, having been proven otherwise. He never thought he’d get shot, and it didn’t hurt all that bad, or maybe his body was just in shock. The feel of blood soaking his shirt was gross, and he was thinking about how much of a shower he was going to need, instead of how he was going to even make it to a shower eventually.

Well, at least his sister was okay.

It felt like there was still gravel in his face, but he could definitely feel the blood. His arm went from white hot searing pain, to being numb, and back and forth as the bone was broken. He wanted to get up and walk home to tell his mom so she could bring him right to the emergency room, but getting up from his spot on the ground seemed like a huge task right then.

But then, a familiar face.

“Selena,” he whined toward his sister.

16. My muse is sick and continues daily routine even though they seem on the verge of passing out.

"It's fine. I got this...promise." Really she was in no shape to be working at all but there was no way that Robin could afford not work. Not working meant not getting paid. She leaned miserably against the wall behind the counter to catch her breath after another round of coughing racked her body. Trembling slightly from the fever she walked back over to the videos she'd been rewinding. Taking one out and putting it back in the rental case before popping another one in and closing the lid. "I'll go home and rest tonight and be good as new tomorrow." Honestly, Robin didn't even know how she was going to drag herself home. Walking in the cold was just going to make things worse and she didn't have a day off for the next four days. "Here just finish these. I'll take that cart of videos out and reshelve them." Anything to get away from the persistent nagging about the current state of her health. Selena meant well and Robin knew it but there wasn’t much that either of them could do.
