Y'all I'm having the strong urge to write a fic for Brody Dudley from Dcst.

I mean, he and Maya have little to know pics center around him. And he has so much potential too, because he's a black man who grew up in '90s America, isn't mechanical engineer, and is in the army. Plus his belief about people not deserve me to die give so much angst potential, because as someone who lives in America. Who's known so many people, friends and classmates, that's has seen so many people die, has seen so much bloodshed, who grew up and went to school in the ghetto. In fact I someone who is black, I think that there's really So much potential when writing Brody's mind set.

Like I NEED to dissect this man's character and then Maya's too, and then maybe Luna's as well, because I believe say what you will despite about Dr. Stone just being "an anime about science", and that "I shouldn't be trying to bring race, or gender into it," because really when there's that much potential, It would be a shame not capitalize on it.

Charlotte/Maya drabble exclusively for Tumblr because I noticed that there was not much in both their tags so please enjoy!

Summary: Charlotte is sad that the too cold mornings of winter have pushed off her weekly scouting mission until later in the day.

Charlotte sighed as she looked out onto the glistening crop fields from where she sipped a hot morning beverage. It wasn’t coffee, no, they didn’t have the beans; it was made with mushroom and a bunch of other things she couldn’t be bothered to care about. At least it still tasted about as good as the coffee she’d get on base before all this happened.

She let out an amused huff as she went for another sip, it was far too earthy for her tastes, but Maya seemed to enjoy it more. Something about there being ‘notes of caramel’ or whatever, Charlotte decided to just take her word for it as she allowed her mind to wander. That was until the door to her room opened and Maya stopped short. A towel was draped over the other woman’s shoulders, her hair in pined up twists; she looked fresh from the sauna that Xeno had insisted on building.

“Didn’t realize you’d still be here,” Maya said as she stepped into the room, closing the door behind her and giving Charlotte a once over, her hands resting on the shorter woman’s shoulders. “Everything okay?”

“No,” Charlotte said, turning her back to the frigid window, chewing on her bottom lip for a few moments as she gathered her thoughts. “It’s too cold outside.”

Relieved, Maya laughed, “Is that why you’re drinking mushroom coffee and looking out the window like that? Because you can’t fly?”

At once, Charlotte felt her face heat up at the gentle teasing, “So what if it is?”

Maya took the coffee from Charlotte, taking a sip and shrugging as she grabbed fresh clothes and made her way to the ensuite, leaving the mug on top of the dresser. “Would breakfast make it better?”

Humming, Charlotte pretended to give it some thought, “I think that could work.”

My First Impression of Dr Stone Characters, Part 2!

Soyuz: Thought he was probably going to turn out to be some antagonist.

Amarallys: Thought she was probably going to be some antagonist or the cause of the petrification.

Mozu: A**hole.

Kirisame: Fierce fighter.

Ibara: Ugly and absolutely terrifying.

Matsukaze: Cool guy.

Xeno: Ugly(ish) and Senku but older.

Stanley: Dependent on Xeno only.

Luna: A teen girl with self confidence issues but very sweet.

Carlos: Simp #1.

Max: Simp #2.

Maya: Gorgeous and strong.

Brody: A force to be reckoned with.

Charlotte: Honestly, don't care for her.

Joel: Very physically attractive and a decent guy.

Chelsea: A very smart little kid (I got confused when reading "barely a teen" in the manga, I thought she was like 12 or something).

Sai: Exactly like Ryusui but super serious. (Haven't actually met his character yet, just what I thought when I heard Ryusui has an older brother)

Byakuya: The greatest dad ever and that he was biologically related to Senku (To me they look a lot alike).

Lillian: A Karen.

New Fic: When Mountains Fall

New fic just dropped on Ao3! This is a Stanley-centered survival fic that has similar vibes as This Too Shall Pass and I hope you'll all enjoy it!

Excerpt from Chapter 1: The early morning sun warmed the gravel of the courtyard, glittering slightly from frost that blanketed the surrounding countryside. It was nice watching it burn off as Stanley enjoyed an early smoke after his run, choosing to bask in the light of the sun to stay away from the lingering chill of winter that clung to the shadows the castle. In front of him the overwintered crop fields had a herd of deer browsing through the remnants of their cover crop. It was peaceful despite the chill, but Stanley would rather deal with that than his partner who was the furthest thing from a morning person. Shame his daughter wasn’t the same way.
