(ooh thanks for the response! [/gen] and for also opening up some thinking for me

Below is me rambling about hypothetical's involving @dcwnthercbbithcle's OC Nurse Ophelia Penwell. I talk a lot so I'm putting a keep reading!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just thinking about Ophelia's visit to 230. Easel (at that point) would absolutely despise his nickname as he wouldn't trust Ophelia and thinks the nickname is an act to befriend him to take him back to the Gallery

And Yam...wouldn't actually be there yet. As after Ophelia visited the earthquake happened and after that Yam fled to 230 with the help of then Site Director Enigma

oh but another thing! (Ramble incoming)

Thinking of a hypothetical scenario where Ophelia stays at 230 and/or is turned human/was always human: She would love it there. Especialy since it's well after Enigma's plan is enacted and staff is encouraged to be loving and supportive? Ophelia would have to be held back from adopting them all. Hanging out with them in the inner courtyard, listening to them ramble, helping as much as she could with their abilities, patching up the littles' scrapes.

While it isn't mentioned a lot, 230 is home to sapients from all across the age spectrum, so Ophelia could also be seen helping the elderly to their rooms, maybe help deliver food to a sick adult couple, or help a teen trying to learn chess?

Not to mention she might also really want to help the foundlings, especially if they aren't anomalous and help them feel like they belong in a place seemingly dominated by anomalous folk.

Maybe Ophelia would like the anomalous pets they have on site too? (Unless she's allergic of course... can paintings have allergies?)

Of course the only problem in this hypothetical is that it would mean she's cut off from her polycule and the rest of her skip family and friends. Perhaps some of the skips she befriends offers a dimensional warp service? who knows.

The Ghostface identity was crafted when Danny was about twelve, though it's possible the creation dates earlier, at least unofficially. Ghostface was a character that inspired fear, who bore the confidence of a creature that could withstand anything. Had Danny been born normal--with synapses plugged into their appropriate ports versus the alternative--then Ghostface would have started and ended as a character. Danny might have gone on to become a famed horror author, recounting the tales of a monster in the shadows, the Ghost Face.

Unfortunately, he was born wrong. While Ghostface began as a character--his silhouette scribbled on the corners of class notes, tales of his escapades written in remarkably gorey detail--Danny's fascination with the figure grew into an obsession. It's unclear why Ghostface was created in the first place. As far as anyone knows, nothing traumatic occurred in Danny's youth that warranted a fictional coping mechanism to hide behind. But we don't know. There could be a genuine cause or the reason could be simpler, wrapped into the complicated psyche of a man born with psychopathic tendencies. It's entirely possible that Ghostface was everything Danny wished to be, and thus he did whatever he could to adopt the characteristics and physicality of his creation.

Interestingly, Ghostface's original designs bear only occasional resemblance to his final form. It took until Danny was about nineteen for the Ghostface design to take shape: the ebony shroud and the familiar, harrowing yawn inspired by Edvard Munch's painting, The Scream. And it took some years longer until Ghostface existed in the real world, originally as a papier-mâché mask and a shitty Halloween cloak made of poor material. This mask would eventually be replaced by a variety of other handmade models of differing materials, though each bore the same recognizable facial features: an elongated, gaping mouth and sad eyes. It wasn't until 1991 that Danny obtained his final mask, purchased from a Halloween vendor, and made a number of adjustments to it.

(Because the growing fascination with the Ghostface serial killer had inspired a costume of the same design and name. Stupidly so. The costume was not on the shelves for very long after public outcry forced the merchandiser to cease production. Danny was able to obtain several more masks at a discounted price because of this. The irony.)

Throughout this his gaze discreetly lowers to the watch on his wrist. Sure enough more than a few hours had already passed since he had sat down and began working. A frustration sigh escapes him before he raises one elbow to rest against the top of the desk.

I'm so sorry about not responding to the headcanon meme until now, never realized you reblogged it! Haha. Anyways! I imagine that dado's brand medicine and pharmaceuticals are pretty well renowned for having very sweet and remarkably pleasant tastes, given they are pharmaceuticals! Not that nasty overpowering taste of false bubblegum or the purple taste that is called grape, but rather the tamer, more delicious sweet fruity taste you can only get from actual candy and vitamin gummies. Why? Well, this is dado and trying to find a purpose behind what dado does is a pointless endeavour, but the most reasonable explanation one can get from a being like dado is due to his own tastes! dado doesn't enjoy the gross tastes of most market brand medicines, and being that dado is a being of the market, the fact he doesn't like it means that there's gotta be a bunch of people who don't like it! Hence the flavoring choices. That said though, dados medicines do have alternate tastes if you don't enjoy the fruitiness, but one could argue cold-brew coffee tasting medicines are frankly worse than the grape and bubblegum ones! Also! Robert Mitchell isn't a guinea pig; he is a hamster according to the universe he originates from, you see, in that universe intelligent and talking rodents are the norm in place of the traditional humans and have their own small society, however, this has come with the caveat (heh, get it? caveat like cavies the name for the guinea pig family? sorry) that because humans didn't name the rodents and they named themselves, the hamsters ended up calling themselves guinea pigs and the guinea pigs called themselves hampsters! It's quite an annoyance for interdimensional communication, they understand, but they are tolerant of the common mistakes! And good ol' Robert Mitchell is a proud hamster!

anyways u would be very correct with dados medicine tasting sweet or fruity and generally pleasant tastes, banana being a common flavour due to it being dados favourite flavour, very similar to the taste of candy or even the fruits themselves! you would be right in the fact finding purpose behind what dado does is mostly a pointless endeavour and ur mostly correct with the reasoning. dado is of course a businessman and dados business can be taken away from, what better way is there to improve ur products other than trying ur competitors products? and in his little businessman mind dados thinking is “better flavour and taste = more sales”, though the banana one is definitely just because he likes banana being of the market or not, 9/10 for this one :D

there is not a lot of information on the wiki for robert mitchell apart from him being a guinea pig, not a hamster, though sadly he is not an inter dimensional guinea pig he is quite intelligent, originally a regular pet guinea pig who (in articles im pretty sure) would often accidentally eat products dado created, given intelligence through another product of his. the whole reason he refers to himself as a hamster though is because dado cannot tell the difference between hamsters and guinea pigs, originally wasn’t too fond of this and would try and correct dado which never works usually but has since warmed up to what is an honest misunderstanding, a very proud hamster indeed! 3/10 for this one, thank you again for the ask!
