“ When the fox hears the rabbit scream, he comes running. But not to help. ” — From Zuriya!
Ayame would raise an eyebrow at Zuriya’s comment and respond, “That’s quite an interesting saying. It sounds like there’s more to it than meets the eye. What’s the story behind it?”
It would seem Ayame’s confusion soon found itself in good company as the already jolly contours of the priestess’s face could only grow into a disbelieving grin in the face of the Earthrealmer’s claim.
❝ You mean to tell me there is not an equivalent for this turn of phrase in Earthrealm? ❞ her eyebrows could only raise so high, but she gave a short scoff, not in cruel jest but sheer bewilderment, ❝ It seems such a gap, no? No matter: I will simply need to have several words with yourself and your representatives—❞
Out of context, such words would seem a threat, but here? Combined with her good faith snickering, it was little more than a jape on cultural differences. ❝ There is much to be learned of our vernacular! Even more of our turn of phrase. We have a hundred words for blood, you know? ❞ with that, Zuriya giggled, possibly jesting with the Earthrealmer, but more than likely telling the truth. This was Outworld afterall.
❝ On the matter of the fox and the rabbit, I’m afraid it’s a relatively simple tale. One told to our young on the danger of showing weakness—❞
Looking up at nothing in particular, Zuriya began to recall, voice at first slow in uncertainty but quickly gaining pace as it came back to her, ❝ Story tells of a young rabbit lost in the living forest, it was confused by the faces in the trees and frightened by the shadows on its tail quickly found itself becoming entangled amidst the branches and brambles, ❞
❝ If the rabbit had calmed itself, we would not tell of its tragedy. It could have easily freed itself and hopped along. Calm soothing the panic and giving strength to hide its weakness—❞ White eyes softened with the words, but her eyebrows furrowed as she continued, fingers closing around themselves as though to demonstrate the rabbit in question ❝ —But the rabbit did not, it howled and screamed into the forest until it stirred the foxes from their dens. They answered the rabbits calls with slavering drivel and ravenous maws, in five bites, the rabbit was no more, ❞ Unpinching her fingers, as if in emphasis to demonstrate the brutality of the death of the poor metaphoric rabbit,
❝ Moral being that in times of crisis, a panic can be your undoing, and displays of weakness a beacon to your mortality,❞
Ayame contemplated Zuriya's words, her thoughts turning inward. With a nod, she responded, ❝ You're right, Zuriya. My life in the clan was very insular, and we rarely ventured into Earthrealm. I suppose it's time for me to experience the world beyond the Hamato and learn more about different cultures and their aspects. Your stories and teachings are invaluable, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to broaden my horizons and grow as a person. ❞
The Earthrealm warrior recognized that her journey was not just about physical battles but also about understanding the diverse perspectives of the realms she encountered.

With a smirk, Ayame replies to Johnny, “Well, Mr. Cage, I may not have had much experience carving pumpkins, but I think my precision with a blade might give me an edge in this pumpkin-carving contest. Although what is meaning of doing this anyway?”
“ Don’t count on it, Princess. I have done this many times before. “ He is grinning, the amount of experience he has doesn't equal being good at it and he knows it, but he can pretend for now. After all a friendly competition hasn't hurt anybody. “ The meaning? We’d use those to decorate after we’re done, kids love it. If you heard of Halloween this is a part of it. “
@legacyinshadow
Ayame’s curiosity and interest in Halloween were evident as she embraced this new experience. "Sadly, Halloween wasn't something I knew in my home. But I'm grateful to experience it with someone else." Ayame would smile as she held up her finished pumpkin carving, not revealing it yet. But with a curious expression, she would ask, "Why do you keep calling me 'princess'? I am not of royalty?"

[ 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 ] : exhausted from a battle, the receiver gives up resistance +reverse
Watching the female give up on the battle at hand had hanzo's guts twisting in Disappointment he had thought that the girl had guts at first Now seeing her justice easily give up against her opponent was a clear sign of disrespect. A person who fought fought to the death and didn't turn their backs. Cutting in he pushed her away from the weapon pointed at her.
"You're lucky I stepped in, the next time you give up I'll let your blood stain the grass. A warrior is supposed to finish a battle Not give up in the middle it shows you have no will to live."
His harsh words challenge her resolve, implying that she’s given up and lacks the will to live. Ayame, fueled by a lifetime of pain and vengeance, feels the fiery rush of anger coursing through her veins in response to Scorpion’s judgment.
Summoning her inner strength and determination, Ayame rises to her feet, even while clutching her bleeding side. Her consciousness was wavering like thin ice.
At first, he was shocked and then happy. So she did have the will to live. Perhaps he had judged too quickly, but Hanzo was a prideful man who would refuse to admit to any of that.
So instead with a tilt of his head, a small cherry blossom Pettal in-between his fingers he placed it into the palm of her hand the closest to an apology anyone had and ever will get from the man.
"Perhaps I had Judged too soon, take this Remember what it symbolizes Be as light as a petal yet as lethal as a bear protecting it cubs."
Gently patting the top of her head he slightly moved his arm out for her to take if she so wished.
"Let's get those wounds cleaned up after you are better We will spar, I shall teach you first hand to hand then sword play with bamboo sticks finally you shall be a master at all arts What do you say?"
Ayame was genuinely surprised by Scorpion's helpful gesture, taking his arm as she walked beside him slowly. There was a hint of warmth in her voice as she chuckled softly,
"I'm truly sorry for my brashness. I never expected such a kind hand to be offered during these trying times."
"What’s that smug look for? you think you can do any better?"
