DPxDC folks, what is your opinion of posts in these tags that are pretty much just about one side rather than the crossover?*
It’s always totally fine; the more the merrier!
It’s fine as long as the author is part of the DPxDC community
It’s fine, but only for content that’s solely on the DP side
It’s fine, but only for content that’s solely on the DC side
It should at least be relevant to the vibes of DPxDC (e.g. a runaway Danny)**
The DPxDC tags should just be for explicit crossovers
Some other answer (please explain!)
*Like, I’m mainly thinking about how I’ve seen prompts that are basically just Danny Phantom content but still use the DPxDC tag.
Is this a thing that bothers people, or is it seen as fine? I’m asking mainly in regard to knowing the right tagging etiquette for my own posts, but I’m also just generally curious.
**runaway Danny may not inherently involve DC, but it’s a common setup for the crossovers so would logically fit with this community
or to use an example from one of my own posts: I had the idea of a necromancer Danny, which didn’t specifically involve DC at all but could work well for the crossover because dead heroes would be a logical crossover point
Or for something a bit between options 5 and 6, my “imagine joining the GIW without knowing the full details” post didn’t include DC in the body text, but I included a mention of the meta gene in the tags (thus creating an explicit connection, if one that arguably wasn’t in the post itself)
