I would recommend, if you can, reading the first founding book. This book acts like an encyclopedia of the 9 Loyalist chapters. It contains culture, life, service, art, etc about the chapters and its really good for getting information. Im pretty sure there's a pdf out there thats free if you can't get ahold of the book. Highly recommend if you want more details but in a more manageable way to understand how these chapters work and the specific gear and process they use to make space marines.
