(DD WALKER)
“Do You Miss It” is the title of DD Walker’s long awaited second single. I suppose you could say we’ve been missing him a lot, even though the artist from New York has only been away from us for about a month, and only after releasing one single, too. DD Walker made a huge splash in the music scene with said single, a new wavey indie gem that radiated much summery warmth and coastal vibes engraved in its peppy beats and sun-bleached guitar riffs. Revisit Malibu via our feature, here. The musician returns with more of that endearing vivacity and lambent glow on Do You Miss It, a guitar curling, punchy driving alt pop meets indie rock earworm. Though fall hasn’t official arrived just yet, the vivid nostalgia of DD Walker’s Do You Miss It leaves us feeling as if we’re already missing the long, muggy days of summer. Do You Miss It is also available via iTunes, here.

Song of the Day: Malibu
Song of the Day: Malibu - Every way we walk, we can't move or step or talk, so take me out of here, cause tonight I've seen it all.
Today’s song is Malibu by DD Walker. Surf Pop. I enjoy the speed of this track. The directness of this song jams itself into my brain and I like the tone. The lyrics are nice, but the instrumental backing keeps an excellent pace. I was ready, to slip underneath. I was ready, to float to sea and go to sleep. Pay attention to the synth elements. Then dial your focus into ONLY the drums.…

DD Walker was one of our favorite breakout artists in 2018, having taken us by storm with his debut single Malibu and its follow up singles, Do You Miss It and Psychic Twin. The indie pop artist from New York shows no sign of slowing down in 2019 as he launches the new year with his debut EP, Malibu, and two brand new songs. Synth thrumming Concord, dyed with soft retro tones and riding high on his effortless gliding vocals, only serves to expand our love for the burgeoning talent. It’s like a Twin Shadow and TEN FÉ wild child, with a misty, dusty aura. Rounding out DD Walker’s excellent debut EP is I Can Feel You Everywhere, crisp driving new wave meets indie rock jam with some Prince-like purple flair. Listen to DD Walker’s can’t miss debut EP, Malibu, on Spotify, here.
Do ya need a quick dance @ home!! Check out this tune
It’s only been a few months since DD Walker released his debut single Malibu, but the New York artist has quickly become one of the most talked about newcomers in the indie/alt scene. Both Malibu and his sophomore effort Do You Miss It have been viral Hype Machine topping hits. And he’s since followed them up with a third single, Psychic Twin, a dreamy poignant, wavy luscious alt/indie pop ballad brimming with lovelorn nostalgia. Part The Chain Gang Of 1974, part LANY, and part St. Lucia but moodier, Psychic Twin is another stunning feather in the cap for this swiftly rising newcomer, who’s sure to continue making his mark on the year and beyond. Revisit DD Walker’s prior two releases on Soundcloud, here.
