Heerlijke campagne voor de NY Lottery. Met fijne copy en slimme radio. Ideaal ook voor als je in de auto zit. De campagne doet je even wegdromen. Letterlijk en figuurlijk. Geen auditieve trucjes. Pure radio. Schoontje van DDB NY.

ZE GERMANS
These two girls with attitude were my cellmates this week.
Both interns at DDB NY and students at Miami Ad School, they speak Merkel-knows-what all-day-long and work on becoming advertising stars. Viel Glück, Dany und Hannah!
Yesterday DDB NY held a silent auction for Ronald McDonald Foundation. You could buy really cool works made by employees and agency's friends, but you could also buy time to spend with famous people living in NYC.
I think that's what thanksgiving is all about, giving others a reason to be thankful.
Like a pro
Yesterday I met Matt Eastwood the CCO of DDB NY. He is one of the biggest guys in ad world. This was what I knew before I got in his office.
A smiling guy welcomed me. Matt. He works in this huge office with an amazing view over Madison Avenue, the kind of office every american dreams about. Despite this, he’s still a cool guy really, very appreciated by employees. I could see he’s a man driven by smart ambitions. You can see that in a person, it makes them shine.
Meeting Matt didn’t change my life, but it helped me see things in a more relaxed way. There’s no race other than the one with myself. So fuck it, let's make our own luck and let's live a little!
Everyone told me that I should try and stay in the US, I should find a job, emigrate, leave our horrible country. “You go there and you make it, son! And don’t look back!”
I bounced everyone off.
But you know what? America is really cool and everyone here is really nice. This, coming from the sceptical me.
1st day
So my first day at DDB NY was pretty cool. I got the creative part of the agency (two floors out of five) tour and met some nice people.
I had a meeting with Mike Sullivan, Group Creative Director. He's a fun guy, he showed me some work they've done for the New York Lottery and gave me some advice.
Before him I met Menno Kluin, ECD and Head of Art. Very cool, he's the last filter of the agency.
And then I insisted until I got a brief. Can't tell you what's about, but I'll give you a hint: it's got to do with golf. The sport.
All this is made possible by Kaitlin DiDonato - thanks!
Kisses!
My DDB cubicle. It's not messy cause I'm here for only one day, but I'll do my best, as promised!
Congrats!
The Art Director Club (ADC), the world’s premier organization for creative talent in integrated media and the first global creative collective of its kind, has selected Juan Carlos Pagan, Head of Design at DDB New York, as one of this year’s “Young Guns.” The Young Guns 11 Awards Ceremony will take place at the ADC in New York City on Thursday, Nov. 7.
