The Draconian Dignitary is 0% magic.

(”But wait”, you may say, “in Problem Sleuth Slick uses sinister shadow-based magic!”  To which i would reply.  “Yeah.  In Problem Sleuth.” So far 0 carapacians have used magic in Homestuck (besides powers granted to them by other sources.  Like the ring in the beta kids session, or being possessed by LE in the alpha kids session). 

Maybe in the troll’s universe carapacians had magic, idk that’s the headcanon business of anyone playing Diamonds Droog.   But I am not one of those people.)

Fourteen whole headcanons, what a world. 

DD likes having conversational leverage, and sometimes to get it he’ll play up the whole I’m-an-alien-who-has-no-idea-what-you’re-talking-about thing.  

Of course sometimes he really doesn’t know things about human or troll culture and he’ll look stuff up and then proceed with this act anyway. 

Other times he really doesn’t know things (this is actually sorta rare, but it happens) and he’s feeling too lazy to just look it up, so he’s genuinely asking.

(( every time I write about/reference this I feel the strong urge to preface it with a disclaimer along the lines of:The following occurred after a solid year of me and my partner messing around and having two basically unattached characters interact.  I was originally very resistant to the idea of any kind of positive relationship happening.  But the way it played out was so spot on that it felt completely in character when he basically adopted her and whatnot.

ANYWAY, so it was when Lyss and I were RPing Roxy and DD.  And he was doing his gross, disgusting smile thing (because he actually wanted to smile for once, not for the reason he usually does it) and she just sort of, gave him a lil pat on the arm and told him he didn’t have to do that because she knew he was happy without the facial indication.  And he just‘oh’and then stared at her like: ‘yes, this one is my favorite and I CHOSE WELL.’ ))

ANYWAY.  He’s a slow, cold burn kind of guy when it comes to hatred.Back in the day (read as: elsewhere) he ended up hating Caliborn, but in a “I’m going to keep acting as though you’re in charge, while I quietly plot against you” kind of way.  The power imbalance there made it fun ))
