Finally, At Long Last, AN ACTUALLY FINISHED Mintaka Introduction
As I said before in the replies of a post, Mintaka is an Alagadda citizen. Who lives in a cabin on the outskirts of the city. (I’ll make another post detailing her personality, but I’ll just say personality wise, she’s a combination of all the lords.) To make a long story short, she has the ability of enhanced hearing. She can literally hear partially everything that goes on. Due to this, she prefers to be alone and that’s why she lives far away from the city. Especially when you consider how loud the Midnight Parade is lmao. The only other citizen she talks to is Alnitak and Alnilam, who are her sisters. (I’ll make posts about each of them eventually, Alnitak is the oldest, Alnilam is the middle, Mintaka is the youngest.) But besides that, she mostly kept to herself and only went into the city whenever she needed more art supplies.
How she got the gift of hearing (or how she’s not some insane sex obsessed monster like the other citizens) is an entirely different story, all that matters is that she had gained a reputation of being ‘all-knowing’. Not because she told anyone about it, but because Alnilam had bragged about her sister knowing everything at a party while extremely drunk. And it eventually just spread throughout that part of the city due to Alnilam’s friend doing so. Local citizens just started going to her for secrets, or telling her to keep their secrets after it was prove that she does in indeed ‘know everything’. Though she still wasn’t that known by the entire city, just only by the locals and her far away neighbors. She kept a lot to herself, even if she knew a lot about others. (Girl just preferred to paint crows and the moon on her walls and shit.)
But eventually got to the point that some upper class/popular citizens became aware of Mintaka and the secrets she held. So they started inviting her to events, as in an attempt to get her on their sides. But she hated parties and they were too loud for her. So she never arrived lmao. That was until Alnitak somehow convinced her to go to at least one, and uhh that one ended up being a party that the Black Lord also attended. And I’m just going to leave the post at that. :)
