Scheepswerf van oorlogsschip 'De Delft' / Shipyard of the warship 'Delft'
NL: In de scheepswerf in Schiehaven in het Loydkwartier is men bezig een replica te bouwen van het oude oorlogs en handelschip ‘De Delft’.
Tijdens de derde missie van het schip; Zeeslag bij Kamperduin, was het schip zwaar beschadigd en uiteindelijk als oorlogsbuit op sleeptouw meegenomen door de Engelsen. Jammer genoeg, maakt het schip ruw water en zinkt het een aantal mijlen uit de kust van Scheveningen. Tijdens dit gebeuren vinden ruim 135 bemanningsleden van ‘De Delft’ de dood.
Twee eeuwen later is het schip herontdekt op de bodem van de Noordzee. Duizenden particuliere en zakelijke sponsoren steunen de opbouw van de replica van het schip.
Dit is een uniek project niet alleen omdat het de grootste replica van een houten oorlogsschip in Europa is, maar ook omdat alles gerealiseerd wordt door vrijwilligers en leerlingen van de Albeda College.
De scheepswerf is 5 dagen in de week open. Van woensdag t/m vrij is het mogelijk op de opbouw van de replica met je eigen ogen te zien.

During the ship’s third mission; The Battle of Camperdown, it was taken as spoil of war by the English. However, the ship was lost when it was sunk by a heavy storm a couple of miles of the coast of Scheveningen. Approx. 135 crew members of The Delft perish.
Two centuries later, The Delft is retreived from the bottom of the North Sea. Thousands of private and corporate sponsors aid in the making of a replica of the famous ship.
This is a unique project because it is the largest replica of a wooden warship in Europe. What makes it special is that everything so far has been made possible with the efforts of students from the Albeda College and volunteers.
The shipyard is open 5 days a week. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays it is possible for everyone to see every step of the build of the 18th century ship of the line with their own eyes.
