Fic idea:
The Bad Batch are on a mission to a remote planet to find a mystical crystal that is said to have magical powers. Upon landing, they find the cave they’re meant to search and while inside they find a fork with five different tunnels, all leading to a different part of the cave. Each member takes a different tunnel so they have a better chance of finding the crystal. Omega goes with Hunter while the others are by themselves.
Tech ends up finding the crystal so he comms the others to rendezvous to his position. But just as he says that and reaches to grab the crystal, it emits a stream of glowing light directly into Tech’s chest. Over the comms each member can hear him cry out before silence follows. They all hasten to where he is only to find a de aged Tech, surrounded by his armor that no longer fits and swamped in a pair of blacks that are now too large for him. Thankfully his goggles shrunk down to his size with him, but everything else is too big.
Unfortunately for the group he seems to only remember Hunter, Crosshair, and Wrecker. Omega and Echo are complete strangers to him. He also doesn’t remember where they are or how he got there. The last thing he remembers was being in their barracks on Kamino.
So now they have to try and find a cure to get Tech back to his adult self because the crystal is nowhere to be seen. It’s like it just vanished.
I also would like to add:
The age Tech was de-aged to is about 6.
He is shorter than Omega, which his brothers like to tease him about. Omega finds him completely adorable because now she literally has a younger brother, not only in technical age but in size.
Even though originally Tech doesn’t remember Echo or Omega, once Hunter explains everything, it all slowly starts to come back to him. Even though he stays young.
I would hopefully like to write either a short story about this or a rly long one shot. But I am going to be starting college courses again soon and I do have a new job that is taking up a lot of my evenings, which is when I usually like to write.
