The final day of the Deaconess Conference included one more session on women’s health, from nurse Davy, and Dcs. Houser taught about the body of Christ. We read from 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, pointing out that as the body has many members each with a different function, the church is made of many people each with different roles.
The women shared about various ways they serve- teaching, making food, helping their families and neighbors, singing, and leadership in their communities.
In the afternoon, Dcs. Houser showed them how to make a special bookmark- one to keep and one to share. The gathering provided fellowship time, as well as opportunities to have fun together- something they don’t often experience in their daily lives.
The conference concluded with presentation of certificates and photos together!
