Do you think they've also been socialized (especially with the STEM focus now) to be less imaginative as they age and more realistic?

yes... and just generally socialized to be... uniform / standard(ized)  ugh. :}

omg... wow. thank you. until a year and 2.5 months ago... i ate like a total shithead. like... through the drive-though shithead. i was very motivated to make a change and it felt *impossible*. now i just feel like i eat so simple and repetitive but i have found a way to let food... make me happy. feel whole and real. it’s magic and it’s nice that you like it, too.
