Photo by: Rory Rummings Official press release: Michigan heavy rockers Bison Machine have signed to American heavy rock institution Small Stone Records. Dead Feathers
To the people that know me, they would know I rarely ever go out on my own. I wouldn’t say I’m a complete introvert though some people might disagree. I stay at home to read, write, or play video games and to me that’s not a bad weekend. However, there are times in which I need and want to go out and DO something and that’s my problem. I don’t know where to go because I never went out as a teen or with whom because I never actually had friends that I spoke to outside of school.
So finally last night I decided to go out and sort of see what has people so excited on going out. A coworker of mine invited me to see a friend’s girlfriend’s band play. I didn’t have a clue as to what kind of music they played. Wow. I tend to regret the very few decisions I ever actually make but this I do not. Dead Feathers is a psychedelic rock band that makes you feel like you’re in the 60s/70s. Nevermind that they dress like they just came out of a time machine (which I am a huge idiot for era fashion) their music really makes your body move. Granted, I think I stood out like a sore thumb with my orange pinkish shirt, purple glasses and jean shorts. Of course, as well as the fact that I don’t exactly drink so the beer tasted horrible to me and I carried that glass like a moron (glass half empty, new record!)
It kinda felt like that movie Almost Famous minus the whole tour, interview, and the…other stuff. Either way, they were great and really nice even if I only met Marissa, the lead singer. It was fun and a great experience for me, a fucking mole. I wouldn’t mind going to another one of their concerts.
