(This is untitled, didn’t know what name I could give this. I’ve got two or three parts ready I think. They're absolutely an idea there at least.)
Sidekick woke up with the worst pain of their life, where the hell am I? With the support of their elbow, they noticed a dungeon and that the floor was cold as ice. Their thoughts wandered and hero come to their mind. They had hunted down villain the night before, and the hero had fallen. “Hero…”
At that moment a door opened and the villain appeared. Sidekick crawled fast and groaning backward. “Finally you’ve woke up, you’re okay?” Leaning against a wall, in the end, sidekick had to meet those black calculating eyes.
Sidekick gave up on trying to sit or anything, laying down was the only thing left to do. Even though it meant they were defenseless and showed it bright open. “What have you done to hero?”
Villain stod back calm, but their sharp gaze was enough to know they were caught. “Goody two-shoes hero? I left them at that old storage, you should know they won’t be able to come for you.” Gracefully villain kneeled down beside sidekick, “I wanted you.”
Sidekick didn’t know if they would be relieved or scared for hero. Maybe they would be scared for themselves and hero was actually was on their way here now. “Whatever you did with hero, they will withstand it and come for me.” They always did, hero never lost and wouldn’t do it now. “I’ll never give in to you.”
Villain touched sidekicks arm and it stang. “Hurts huh. I wonder if your hero is able to even move properly? How do you think they are able to come here with this pain or worse.”
“It’s not true. They can’t be…”
“Dead? Soon enough they maybe are and then you’re all mine.” Villain kept touching sidekick and desperately they tried to get away from villain who didn’t stop. “I bet you wonder why you’re here and not them.”
Sidekick breathing was forced and they shivered by fear mostly. Nodding, there maybe was better to know what they wait from villain.
“Everybody wants to know, sadly I’m not the one to share what I plan.”
Sidekick felt tears burn their chins, was it fear or pain that made them cry? Maybe that hero could be dead. “Why…?”
Villain chuckled, grinned big. “I believe it’s bad luck to share. Of course, you and that hero have been able to stop me anyway, but separated you’re like a wounded puppy.”
They had worked together for so long and their mentor always said they were the dream team. Were they really that independent of each other? “I can manage myself.” Sidekick answered slowly, realized they maybe had to.
Villain brought them up on their feet easier then they had wished, “protecting your pride. I get it, I really do.” Sidekick struggled and fought the agonizing grip villain had on their hair. “The difference when you’re working together and not is clear. Worth a try, even though I’m quite sure I am going to win.”
Laying on their side sidekick forced down the air down their throat.
“Don’t be so cocky sidekick. There’s a lot of people between you and the outside, not to mention a locked door.” Villain said and gracefully walked out. The thick metal door was an obstacle, but now their problem was the pain that made moving almost impossible.
