Now, I am not a fan of Jay-Z... ever since he started rapping about pimpin' girls and poppin' collars I started changing the channel. So I almost didn't listen to his collaboration with Dead Prez on the song Hell Yeah Remix. I mean I'm not trying to hear some showboating with my conscious rap... but Jay-Z surprised me, and for once, I could actually identify with the man. Must have been parenthood that brought the realness out of him. .. "So I'm at Portland, Oregon tryin' to slip you these raps, the first black in the suburbs, you'd think I had ecstasy, percocet, and plus syrup" Funny how that works out, huh? Being black means your a drug dealer, even when your wife hangs out with the President. But I'm just some Black Chick.
