Charles tumbles head-first into a room that, when he lifts his head, he realizes is full of mirrors — large and small and oval and square and ornate and simple and just…mirrors, as far as his eyes can see. Gray mist rolls along the ground and crawls up the reflective surfaces like ivy, each looking glass swinging ominously from chains the dead boy can't see.
