What country do you live in? I live in the South in the US and I have alot of trouble with dressing in my own style.. almost everyone dresses the same~
I live in the UK. Honestly though it’s the same everywhere, I think there are very few places in the world where you can dress completely how you like and not get weird looks. I just kind of learned to live with it. Besides, if everyone else is dressed boring who’s going to make things more interesting if you don’t dress how you want~!
How do I remember to reply to messages (texts or emails)? I have a pen pal that's super kind about how long it takese to reply, but I want to be a better friend to them. I hate replying every 3 months.. and my childhood bestfriend texts me and I never can finish a text and send it within the same week... any tips? I just want to finish texts..
(cont.) Oh! And how do I not stare into space, just thinking .. I didn’t realize how bad it (still) is, but I’m managing a store.. Some of my customers have mentioned to another employee that I stare into space, one said it looks as if im high all the time. I just get lost in my thoughts.. how do I keep in the present and out of my mind, especially in public or at work.. or how do I still listen to the world if I get hyperfocused in my own mind?
If there is something I need remember to do or complete, particularly if it is something I would do with or on a phone or computer I find it helpful to immediately set a reminder on the device. With phones it’s very easy (eg. ”ok google, set a reminder for….”), and you can set reminder intervals/repetitions to bring your attention back to the task as often as you feel you might need before it is complete.
As far as day dreaming, something like a vibrating alarm you can wear on you wrist could be indiscreet and help draw you attention back perhaps? -m
I have such a hard time remembering to answer messages! I usually try to not open them or mark them as unread so that the notification stays there if I know I don’t have time to answer at that moment. That way I can forget as much as I like (which I do) but I’ll be reminded every time I check my phone. Otherwise, just be honest with people and hopefully they’ll be understanding about the fact that you don’t always answer immediately.

Who says a text has to be a complete thought? Make a deal with one of your friends that you’re going to reply to every text they send within 24 hours, even if what you send isn’t a complete sentence. Then follow through. Choose someone who will be okay with weird texts that might not make any sense.
M’s suggestion of a wearable vibrating alarm thing reminded me of this, which I don’t know tons about but it was invented specifically to help us ADHDers deal with life, so it’s probably worth a look!
