There were moments that Evan realized his life wasn’t so bad anymore. After the big change, he had to admit he messed up by killing all those DUP agents. Had to admit that it had been wrong, but once he had given in to those urges that voice in his head had been wanting him to- he had to admit it was hard to stop.
Sure it was bad but he had his old friend back. He also had to admit- staring down at the neon covered bodies and knowing you had done that was one hell of a power rush. He honestly didn’t know how he had gone so long without doing this. He supposed it was because the one person who kept him truely grounded was gone.
Vinnie was murdered months ago- but it had only been within the month that Vincent had stopped messaging him through the board he found. Most likely tired of Evan’s crying and moaning about how everything was terrible. Now- now it wasn’t so bad.
He had his conduit Alex to tear up the city with and his boyfriend at night to hold him and tell him everything was ok. He wondered if Alex saw him on the news if he would stay with him or not...but he supposed they could cross that bridge later. For now he was cleaning himself up before Alex got home. Not wanting to step on Habit’s toes or anything.
He knew if Habit found out about his killing sprees lately things wouldn’t be so great. There was plenty of things that could go wrong. Like Habit telling Alex in hopes shit would hit the fan. Or Habit demanding that Evan put his abilities and blood thirsty personality to good use by working for him. Yeah...Evan didn’t want any part of that.
So he did his best to make sure any signs of blood was off his body before he changed clothes. He looked down at the stained clothing and sighed. They could be savable but...he didn’t want the blood to spark any attention. Then again...he could peg it on Habit. After all he liked the shirt that he had been wearing.
So after a moment of consideration he put his clothes in the washing machine and went downstairs. A small smile on his lips as he hummed to himself. He had done plenty of mayhem tonight and he had to admit it felt good to flex his abilities like he had. It honestly was the closest thing to a high and happiness that he could get at the moment.
“Hey, Alex.” Evan called, “I was thinking we order in some pizza and have a movie night. What do you think?”
