I've also been playing Subnautica recently and the LEVIATHANS ARE FUCKING TERRIFYING but Blaise bringing back DNA from various alien planets so Vincent can create the perfect predator to protect Malhaven and Vincent did combine it with earthly DNA and did all the scientific shit for it but basically, Malhaven is protect by a large sea creature. AND LIKE, REMEMBER HOW I SAID THAT THE MORE DANGEROUS VILLAINS ARE IN THE LOWER LEVELS OF THE OCEAN. If there is a prison break of any kind, Vincent designed doors for his giant alien to kill any prisoners who are outside of their cells and trying to escape. Look up a "ghost leviathan" from Subnautica and that's essentially what it looks like. LIKE THEY'RE GIVING THE HEROES A TOUR AND THEY SEE THIS GIANT FUCKING MONSTER AND THEY NEARLY SHIT THEMSELVES AND Vincent is all: "Yeah, that's Gooch."

Chase: "GOOCH!?"

Blaise: "RIGHT!? I almost die on multiple fucking planets fighting monsters like these and he names it GOOCH."

Vincent: "I'M SORRY, I LITERALLY CREATED LIFE AND YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE NAME."

Troy: "Why did you name it that?"

Vincent: "I dunno."

And like the sea monster won't attack HALT agents and is intelligent enough to know the difference between HALT transportation ships and each HALT ship is equipped to make a sound that lets Gooch know that they're authorized that ONLY HALT agents know about so if some criminals managed to escape on a ship, they still have to get pass Gooch. BUT HE'D 100% KNOW ROBERT AND VINCENT JUST SCUBA DIVING TO SEE HIM BUT ROBERT DOES NOT BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT EXPECT HIM TO BE IN THE OCEAN WITH THAT FUCKING THING but Gooch just lovingly wrapping itself around the sub and purring and Vincent is all: "Aw, he likes you." but Robert is CRYING AND TRYING NOT TO PISS HIMSELF.

Thinking about Vincent smiling for the first time in front of Robert and verbally laughing. Like, he's genuinely just so happy that Robert is in his life and he does adore him with his heart and soul. Like, Robert just volunteering at an orphanage and it's winter so they're having a snowball fight and Vincent doesn't really want to be involved.

But Robert just playing and trying to throw a snowball at a kid but then he accidentally hits Vincent and Vincent just stands there and looks at Robert and Robert is all: "BABE, I AM SO SORRY, I-" and Vincent just kinda snickering before he starts breaking out into laughter and he just wipes the snow off his face. Robert just being terrified that his boyfriend has fucking lost it but then Vincent just looking up at him and Robert can actually see some vibrant life in his dead eyes for once before Vincent is all: "What do you think, kids? Should I get even?" and then he uses his powers to summon a snowball in his hand and it's a HUGE one and Robert just being all: "BAAABE, C'MON!" and Vincent chasing him down and all the kids try to corner Robert and Robert being all dramatic and is all, "FINE! I GIVE UP!" Vincent just walking up to him and bopping his nose with the snowball, not crushing it in his face, but Robert scrunching up his nose and sighing in relief but Vincent winks at him and he's all: "Scared ya, didn't I?~" and Robert just blushing because he's never seen Vincent so playful and happy before.

Or like, Robert having bad dreams and such and Vincent, instead of being all stoic, just gently caressing his face and his hand is cold so Robert wakes up instantly and Vincent has a small and comforting smile on his face and he's all: "...What's wrong?" and Robert just sniffing and he tears up before he goes and hugs his boyfriend tightly and Vincent just rubbing his back.

HALT AGENTS ARE ACTUALLY INSANE THO BECAUSE THEIR SHIFT STARTS AT 4AM, WHICH MEANS THEY WAKE UP AROUND 3 TO GET READY. SO SOME HALT COUPLES (NOT ALL OF THEM OBV-)

Warnan coping with this where Warden has to tickle Ronan awake because Ronan WON'T LET HIM GO. Like, for a dude with one arm, THAT ARM IS STRONG AS HELL. And Ronan whining and he's all: "It's soooo stupid you do this. I hope you know that-" and Warden fixing his collar in the mirror and stuff and he's all: "I'll be back tonight. You behave." and Ronan chuckles but cuddles into bed the moment Warden gives him a kiss. IF WARDEN DOESN'T GIVE HIM A KISS BEFORE HE LEAVES, RONAN WILL JUMP OUT OF THAT BED AND TACKLE HIM.

Ramone strikes me as a guy who likes to sleep in when he can but Lisa is quite literally such an early bird. Like he'll wake up around 3 because he feels that she's gone and she's in the shower humming and stuff and when she comes out, Ramone just purposely catching her off gaurd to scare her and IT WORKS and she just scoffs and rolls her eyes but she kisses him and she's all: "Go back to bed, dear, okay?" and he does. Before she leaves, she puts on her favorite lipstick shade and kisses him and he likes it bc when he wakes up, he's covered in her lipstick kisses♡

LMAO, ANGELO HAS EYEBAGS FOR A REASON. He's up all night and he has to work at 4am so he's cursing out how stupid early that is and Martha groans sleepily and she's all: "You know...you could just NOT patrol Gotham at night so late. That is also a possibility-" and Angelo being all: "But then that'd mean no after patrol sex~" but like, him buttoning up his shirt and he looks down at her and takes a few minutes to specifically admire her. Then he goes and prays a bit early-

KIKAZARU MAN, HE HATES LEAVING HIS CUDDLE PILE but his ears flick when he wales up and he yawns and stretches and stealthily gets out of bed and dresses up but like, Watami and Vik will also sleepily remind him when he's forgotten something. Like Watami just tapping Vik's chest and Vik groaning tiredly and he's all: "Kikazaru, your phone." and Kikazaru is all: "Hmm? Oh, thank you." and he gives them little bites before be goes.

IF WE DO IWAZARU + SLEIGHT OF HAND, LITERALLY EUGENE JUST WAKING UP AND NOT BEING ABLE TO FALL ASLEEP BECAUSE IWA IS GONE. so Iwazaru carrying Eugene where Eugene's legs are wrapped around his waist and Eugene is holding onto his neck too. So Iwazaru brushing his teeth with one hand as his other arm holds up Eugene and Eugene just brushing his hair for him while he's back there. When Iwazaru gets dressed, Eugene just watching with him with heart eyes and when Iwazaru sets him back on the bed next to Sadie, Sadie is all: "Don't do anything stupid, asshole." and Iwazaru chuckles as he kisses them both and he's all: "Don't tell me what to do, princess~"

GKEKFKEKFK, VINCENT DOESN'T EVEN SLEEP. He sleeps twice a week for an entire day. Otherwise, he is totally up 24/7 so the problem isn't him getting up early, IT'S THAT HE NEVER SLEEPS. So Robert either has to seduce him to bed or he just picks him up and Vincent whining about how his work needs to be done but Robert is all: "No. Cuddle me."

ANDRÉS FEELS BAD HE CAN'T BE WITH MANNY WHEN SHE WAKES UP but he can't deny the way his heart soars as he admires her beauty. So as an apology, he cooks up a hearty breakfast for her and stuff and makes her lunch for the day too and he puts them in the fridge and leaves love notes in Spanish about how she is his everything and that his world is nothing without her. That she hopes she feels filled by his food the same way his heart feels filled whenever he's around her. But also, him just hugging her before he gets up and he softly whispers in Spanish about how much he adores her and kisses her shoulder and she smiles in her sleep.

OKAY BUT ROBERT AND VINCENT MEETING WHEN ROBERT IS DOING A PLAY AND IS THE MALE LEAD AND HE SEES VINCENT OUT IN THE CROWD AND HE JUST RECGONIZES HIM RIGHT AWAY. Like when its intermission, he's freaking out because WHAT IS A HALT AGENT DOING THERE?!

And maybe his team kinda gave him a hard time about being over dramatic and saying he's all talk and no action so he's all: "Let's see if they're still gonna say that when I face down with one of HALTS major agents...after I'm finished hear of course." but like, also, him feeling rather nervous because of how intensely Vincent stares at him when he's up. Then after the play, he goes into his hero costume and catches up to Vincent and tries to fight him but Vincent kind of dodging and stuff and he just does that until he gets tired out and Robert is all: "W-Why- Lemme breathe....Why do you not fight me, villain?"

"I don't have any intention too."

"I smell a farce, when a HALT agent is around, trickery and deception is at foot!"

"That's a fair assessment, just not in this situation. I wasn't aware that simply enjoying a play counted as trickery or deception."

"Why should a believe a bastard who allies himself with an organization that falsely imprisoned one of my fathers?"

and Vincent smiles and he's all: "Ah, yes, that. Andrés was very remorseful but it yielded very interesting aspects of his character I never considered...but, yeah, I suppose you don't have any reason to trust me. However, I do want to finish up my notes for the night about the production." and he moves past Robert and walks off and he's all: "Oh, and, uh, good job. Your performance was very gripping."

and then Robert just being all: "OF COURSE IT WAS. IT WAS ME...But, you...you actually didn't have any evil intentions? Like, you didn't put a bomb in the building or something?" and Vincent is all: "I'm a scientist, not a demolitionst, but yes, I simply wanted to watch a play."

"...Why?"

and Vincent is all: "Because theater is an esteemed form of art, it centers itself around a philosophical question, and I like to observe if the people in the crowd understand the message or if they're simply staring at the pretty costumes...I also enjoy seeing the actors, observing their dedication and if they truly understand the story they're in...You're one of the rare few who I see get truly enraptured which made the experience...enjoyable."

and Robert staying silent but also being highkey flustered bc OMG, THE STOIC HALT AGENT GAVE HIM A COMPLIMENT, THE SAME HALT AGENT WHO IS SO INCREDIBLY VERBABLLY BRUTAL TO HIS OWN TEAM. So then Robert and him just walking and talking and Vincent asks him how he gets into character, what the process of being in a play is like for him, and Robert just talking on and on per usual but Vincent just listening and noting every word. Then they have to leave and he's all: "The next time we see each other, we will most likely be enemies...but I do attend these types of things a lot so perhaps I'll see you in your next production. We'll see what circumstance decides."

But like, yeah, no, when they fight each other and stuff; Vincent is a lot more vocal and asks Robert if he's in any plays or productions happening and if Robert tells him, he will ALWAYS see Vincent in the crowd. AND, LIKE, CUTE MOMENTS WHERE HE LOCKS EYES WITH VINCENT AND VINCENT REMAINS STOIC BUT GIVES HIM AN ACKNOWLEDGING HEAD NOD OR SOMETHING BUT ONE NIGHT, WHEM THEY LOCK EYES, Vincent actually giving him a small smile *like REALLY SMALL* and Robert notices it instantly and thats when feelings begin to grow.

Thinking about HALT couple headcanons but none of them are long enough to make their own posts so here are some:

- When Lisa sits on Ramone's lap, she will purr praises and sweet nothings into his ear, but she also loves to twirl his hair around her finger. Whether they're at his VIP table, she will grab a strand of his hair and twirl it around her finger (don't worry, she's careful not to mess with his hair) and when she's done, he has a little superman curl afterwards. She'll also twirl any chest hairs that he might have. LIKE THAT IS HER SECRET WEAPON AGAINST HIM. Hypnotize him with her pretty snowy owl eyes as she climbs on top of him seductively as she twirls his hair between her fingers as she smiles (it is her genuine smile, she can't help it around him) and talks in that playfully sweet voice (NOT BABY TALKING, just very playful and teasing) if her Ray will do a teensy-tiny favor for her♡

- Vincent is still very physically fit and can fight. Like he does spar, he just needs a few medical things on stand by. Like an inhaler to catch his breath or something, but he most definetly still spars. AND ROBERT LOVING TO SPAR WITH HIM BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY TIME VINCENT WILL WEAR CLOTHES THAT ARE SOMEWHAT FORM FITTING. Like he's wearing a compression tank top and very shapely sports shorts as he and Robert spar in the temperature controlled room (cold enough for Robert but warm enough for Vincent). BUT ROBERT JUST LOVING TO SEE VINCENT FIGHT, even though he doesn't really need to. Meanwhile, Vincent doesn't go all out when he fights Robert partly because he doesn't want to deal with his whining but also he just...can't find it in him to be aggressive towards Robert. Yeah, he's calculating sadistic but it's actually very hard for Robert to get on Vincent's nerves or make him genuinely upset because Vincent finds everything about Robert endearing. LIKE OTHER PEOPLE TOTALLY PISS HIM OFF but if Robert was trying to annoy him, Vincent won't do anything be upset just because...it's his Robbie, you know? (This does cause him to be dismissive of Robert during arguments). SO YEAH, INSTEAD OF HITTING ROBERT OR KNOCKING HIM OUT OF THE RING TO LET HIM KNOW THAT HE'S OUT, Vincent will pinch his cheek or nose, or he'll maneuver to one of his tickle spots and tickle him until he falls down before he grins and says: "aaaand, you're out.~"

- When Troy is older, he meets Kanami when she's representing the Apiary at a very important political event and HALT is on security. Kanami is trying to get an autograph from Iwazaru so she walks up to Troy to ask him if he knew where Iwazaru was but before she can ask, HE THINKS SHE WANTED AN AUTOGRAPH FROM H I M so Troy signs her notebook and is all: "I didn't expect to have such a pretty fan~" and Kanami blinks. But like, he seems so genuinely happy and his smile is so cute that Kanami feels herself getting flustered before she softly says: "Yeah, I'm your biggest one!" and after that, she goes to buy some Troy merch. Troy will tell this story and be all: "Yeah, I still can't believe that a girl as pretty as Kanami knew who I was and wanted MY autograph, it was the best day of my life!" and Kanami giggles and won't correct him because she DID become a huge fan that day...also because she knows he's gonna get so embarassed and flustered if he EVER found out she actually wanted someone else's autograph.

Vincent is most definetly not the perfect boyfriend, like, he's actually a really bad one. He doesn't know that tho because his relationship with Blaise was literally the first one and they knew they'd never have a normal relationship dynamic. He's kind of used to saying something and Blaise just agrees with him (even if she gives him attitude). So when Robert disagrees with him, Vincent just kind of raises an eyebrow because what expertise does Robert have to criticize or disagree with him? And that can cause problems because Robert is all: "Hey, so I don't need rocket science to know that what you're doing is BAD." and Vincent is all: "You're not seeing the bigger picture, Robert. That's fine, I expected you to be a little short sighted due to your company-" and Robert just gasping before he storms off.

LIKE, THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS NOT GONNA BE A SMOOTH ONE, AT ALL. Vincent is the problem a majority of the time and Robert just kind of understanding why Blaise was the way she was. From Vincent's perspective: he's dying soon and he wants to leave a legacy, he wants to create something that will outlast him so he didn't just die as his parents failed experiment, but as someone who did something. But this causes him to be incredibly selfish because he's constantly thinking about what HE has to do to ensure HALT'S legacy/HIS legacy by any means. So he just gets annoyed when Robert argues with him about ethics and morals because it's the same things he's heard before and Robert is wasting his time.

And when Robert is all: "NO. I'm not coming back this time if all you're gonna do is be an asshole everytime! You always apologize but you don't mean it because YOU DON'T CHANGE." and Vincent frowns and he's all: "Robert, my time is very limited. I don't want to waste it to 'change' myself for you."

Robert: "YOU'D BE DOING IT FOR US. Vincent, we have been so miserable lately and this is exactly what happened with you and Blaise. The difference is that I'm not gonna stick around long enough for you to get bored of me."

And Vincent frowns as Robert turns away and he self reflects on that. Meanwhile, Robert just ignoring his calls until he gives him a genuine apology with some actual CHANGE. While Vincent frowns and sees Robert hasn't texted him back even though he sent him so many designer clothes and jewelry as an apology. After a few days, Vincent would be able to apologize and make a promise that he'll try to change but Blaise let him get away with so much shit because they were each other's first that its hard to adjust.

Not to mention that factor where Blaise was predictable, easy to read, and that Vincent knew everything about her and how it worked. From her thoughts to her body language to her reactions- She was easy. She was a predictable variable. Robert is still unknown to Vincent, which Vincent both lives and hates because while Robert is seemingly predictable, he obviously has his own complexities that Vincent has yet to discover and excites him. But then Robert has to remind him that he's not ACTUALLY a science experiment. He's a living breathing human being who is also HIS boyfriend. So Vincent sucks at being a boyfriend but he tries so hard.

If he upsets Robert, he knows that a gift can't always fix it so he just sits next to him and is awkwardly there like: "...I'm sorry you got offended by what I said-" but then he coughs when Robert side eyes him and be just is all: "I-I mean, what I did to offend you. Looking back on it, I was definetly not...acting like a good boyfriend. But I'll do better next time..." and its a slow process but when Vincent is more careful and kinder with his words, Robert just smiling softly and feeling a little proud but he's also not gonna praise him for doing the bare minimum-

Deadhoode thoughts too but it's the way that Robert was literally abandoned by his parents and that Vincent was sentenced to death by his parents. People told Robert "they probably just wanted you to have a better life." while Vincent was told: "If we can find a cure for you, you'd be giving other people a better life." and that they both felt like they were discarded.

BUT LIKE, ROBERT AND VINCENT ARE SO "NO ONE MOURNS THE WICKED"/ "NO, ONE MOURNS THE WICKED." because people who meet Vincent genuinely see a mad scientist who hides his cruelty and sadism through a stoic facade but the truth is: no one on HALT is truly evil and they all genuinely believe they're doing something good, they just believe in doing whatever it takes to get what they want because they believe they have the best interest in the world.

And that's the scary and tragic thing about them. When Vincent tells Robert about how he designed the prison, he speaks of it so fondly and he's all: "Think about it, with all of these new metahumans coming out...wouldn't it be nice to give the world some piece of mind? Amanda only prioritized America but HALT? We're prioritizing the world. Wouldn't it be such a nice feeling, Robert? To know that you'd no longer have to live in fear of the next Starro attack or another threat from some galactic maniac?" and Robert just holding his hand and he's all: "Vincent...Sweetie...Most people think that what you're doing is cruel and wrong. Malhaven has done more harm than it has good."

Vincent: "So then I improve, I make it better. It's not evil, I assure you, but not all villains can be reformed and not all of them can just be left on the streets. That's how people die."

Robert: "Vince...people think you're a sadist."

Vincent: "Those are people who never had to pick up the pieces of families who were destroyed from villain attacks. Robert...Schatz, you know me, I'm not a cold man...figuratively and metaphorically, that is. Literally, I very much am so."

and Robert hugs him and says: "That's not how people will remember you, Vinny."

and Vincent hugs him back: "They don't know whats good for them. Besides...I don't care abiut what they remember me as. Not when I know that you'll always remember me for what I really am. An optimist...a genius...a lover.~"

and he kisses Robert along his neck and Robert chuckles and clings to him before he sighs softly and just feels such heavy confliction in his heart. AND LIKE, ROBERT KIND OF GETTING DEFENSIVE ABOUT VINCENT WHEN HIS TEAM SAYS SHIT LIKE: "That fucking apathetic freak." or describes him as "heartless" or "uncaring" or make jokes about how Robert could love someone who acts more robot than an actual robot. Like, Rosario just talking shit and Robert clenches his fist before he swings at Rosario and yells: "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. AT LEAST MY BOYFRIEND TRIES TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. YOURS IS JUST SOME CONVICT WHO TALKS FANCY." and Rosario just glaring at him and they have to be pulled apart before they fight (Robert is not winning that, I'm sorry, it just has to be said) but Robert walking off and he's angry because they don't know Vincent.

Not like he does.

And he thinks about if Vincent fails to find a cure and ends up dying, he thinks about how everyone else would cheer that such a callous and unfeeling man had passed, but Vincent would be one of the few people who actually mourn the man that he was. And he just turns to Vincent and holds his hand as he tries not to cry because he might wake him up.
