I have... SO MANY THOUGHTS. But, in a nutshell: Nervous system ghosts. There's concept art for them (plus a ton of other cool shit on Molly Brown's (the official artist) website.

I could just be seeing something that isn't there, but that's one of the photos Simon takes, I think while he's in his trance.

Imagine being stripped down to just your core system like that 💀 Still alive. Still you. Still thinking. Still feeling. But not truly alive. No longer human or whole. Just *existing*. In hell.

Or, instead of the nervous system, it's very likely just the heart and veins and arteries.... Which is still very creepy, but less horrifying imo 🤣😅 Yeah, I see a heart, but no brain, so that's probably what they are.
