so i read deadly relations and holy fuck i will never be ok again

come on guys let's have a book circle let's do this

and essentially until the very end he was a good person that had just been repeatedly kicked by life... like idk i can just relate very strongly to a lot of the inner thoughts that he has

also 6 year old al is such a cutie aaaaah

and i mean... in a way i think that he did it because he loved her. he didn't want her to condemn herself to this life of hiding and discrimination that he had seen and thought he knew, or to end up like fatima. it was one of those things, though, where once a person has tasted freedom, it's impossible to take them away from it, and she would never have been happy

she would have been a bird of paradise kept in a finch cage

but at the same time, bester needs structure and he wouldn't ever be happy abandoning that

why was she even on the cop track to begin with??? like it just does not seem fitting for her

idk i just want to write fic with them in some au where it does work out 

and the part where he listens to geneva was cool and dreamlike and i wish i could do it too

also, i think it was just reaaally well written in terms of child psychology/realism and was just a really good slice of life type of thing and the author clearly understood psychology in general
