Typically, Joe wasn’t one for festivities. He never really had been, and why that changed so suddenly, he wasn’t sure. It certainly wasn’t because of rumours, had nothing to do with his job. He had no contracts involving coming to this, so it had to be a personal choice, just what had tempted him to make it, he still hadn’t figured out.

Either way, he lingered in the crowd’s back, keeping out of sight for the majority of it, and only moving forward when the people around him got obnoxious. It would be easy to kill them, sure, but he didn’t want to disrupt this little fair, especially with how captivated people were by the performers.

Siblings, anyone with half an eye could see that. Or, perhaps he was just more privy to things like that; it wasn’t like the performers’ faces were visible. There was just something about how they worked, and again, it could’ve just been training.

He wasn’t keen on approaching them at the same time, when their act ended; something warded him away from that idea. But when they finally did separate, he approached the woman, steps silent. “Impressive show you put on.”
