deadmall phone facts:

- haru and kanata have matching phone cases (they bought clear phone cases for both of their phones in their first year of middle school, and decorated them together.)

- haru would have gotten a new phone since then, but kept it because he didn't want to stop using the case. he takes very good care of it but it's still very obviously old and doesn't run very well. 3/5 times when you try to call him he doesn't answer and texts back five hours later like "hey my phone was dead what did you need?"

- kanata's phone was new at the time (he got the idea that they could decorate their cases together because he'd just gotten the phone) and now it's a little old, but not old enough that he wants to replace it yet (he is also holding onto it because of the phone case)

- hai bought the equivalent of a used iphone 8 using money that she saved up from her side job (online english tutoring). it's already busted and the screen protector is completely shattered because she's very careless and she has a cheap case, but the case is very cute

- michi's phone is boring and has a black and red case. that's all. he's so boring which makes hai trying to read into everything about him even funnier. she's trying to pull a sherlock holmes about everything he does and it annoys her to no end that he's so goddamn boring because "there's GOT to be something more to this guy"

since it's mermay.........

hai - pale blue tail, very sparkly... even though she looks like a mermaid who'd live closer to the surface, she actually would live deeper down, and her tail has some bioluminescence (very faint) :3

haru - rust red tail with a gradiant to very dark brown at the tips of his fins... his tail is also slightly metallic and shimmery in the sunlight, and he would live at the surface near a lighthouse, gathering whatever random bits of machinery and stuff he can find ...

kanata - his tail would be gold and sparkly, with a paler color towards his fins!! he would live close to the surface, but have a wide range of pressures he could tolerate, so he could even visit michi and hai further down... and of course he'd spend a lot of his time at the surface with haru :3

michi - his tail would be orange with some golden scales (especially towards the end of his fins), and also sparkly!! ( i like sparkles :3 ) ... i think he would live very deep down, probably deeper than hai, and of course be very reclusive... he might also have soem bioluminescence because thats very coollll the only reason kana and haru wouldn't have it is because they don't need it

jax: they're english and basically subsist entirely off hot coffee. they are unfortunately dying. their constitution cannot handle it

sol (their unposted husband): also english. is a barista. is dying badly. i don't think he even has any clothes that aren't turtleneck sweaters. RIP

hai: she melts like a spongebob popsicle and sunburns like a vampire. her ass is not going outside and she will die if she does

michi: he has dark brown hair, exclusively wears dysphoria hoodie in dark colors, plus he's always wearing his headphones and it's just a miserable experience. he becomes a 75% meaner person when the temperature is above 20 degrees celsius

haru: unexpectedly, he's mostly fine with high temperatures, but also dies badly of sunburn if he dares to go outside. his ass is staying in the garage with the big fan on maximum blast

kanata: he dresses like a grandma because he is always cold. unfortunately not immune to high temperatures. has to borrow clothes from haru to have anything lighter than a cardigan to wear lol but otherwise he's fine as long as he stays in the shade

sevens: its internal cooling systems are fucked but because it's in the forest most of the time, it manages to stay mostly cool just naturally. if it's too hot out it finds a hollow log or a creek or something and just chills a while. if it doesn't have the option to do that then it dies badly and pathetically <3

theta: it is insane so it's very happy when it's hot out. bastard with functional thermal systems. *explodes it*
