"Shiny!" The baby said as he was suddenly up next to the master emerald, having climbed the stairs when the echidna wasn't looking. The rest of the team left him with Knuckles because they were working on a bigger case - whatever that meant. "Ready here I come!!!" He JUMPS down from up there, crashing against the echidna.

There’s a slight disturbance... 

Knuckles, rested on his back, opens his eyes to see a yellow-and-black stripped baby falling down - 

Landing SMACK onto his stomach.
