Lizzy was getting used to Tranquility. Sure, being landlocked still made her skin crawl. Sure, it was all safe and the bears were entirely too fucking friendly in the wrong ways. But strangely enough, she found herself settling. She hated settling. It represented everything she stood against.
Of course, sitting in her apartment and stewing made it worse, so she took off. As she left, she noted that the names on the other rooms in the apartment had changed. Or at least she thought they had, because she sure as hell didn't recognize the name. "Wade... Wilson. Huh, weird. Could've sworn that wasn't the name there."
She shook it off as just another weird feature of an increasingly weird place, and set out for town. Eventually she ran into the farmer's market the locals ran every day. Not much use to her, but it was always fun to people watch. Never knew when she'd fine someone that'd keep her busy. She settled up against a wall and crossed her arms in front of her, waiting.
It didn't take very long this time. A bit down the line of stalls was a (assumedly) human wearing literally the brightest outfit she'd ever seen. Lizzy couldn't see his face either, because he wore a full-face mask that was the same color red as the suit. From where she was, she couldn't hear what he was saying. Whatever it was though, he was passionate about it. A lot of hand gestures and exaggerated body movement.
"Well, this ought to alleviate some boredom." Lizzy pushed off the wall and made her way over. She wasn't more than halfway there when she heard him. Loud voice to match his loud body language. Lizzy approached and couldn't figure out a word of what he was saying. Something about... ex-men? Superheroes? Whatever he was talking about, the poor beleaguered vendor looked ready to snap. The stranger just kept talking, and talking, and talking. It was incredible.
Eventually she stepped up and into their field of view. "You know, I'm pretty sure that bear's about to collapse from trying to keep up with you."
