☕ movie remakes
i’m prefacing this by saying i like a few remakes - star trek, it, fright night, godzilla - but i think that the vast majority of remakes are very hit or miss. some have a spirit or an aesthetic that can’t be captured in a modern version (like, the 2003 freaky friday movie is a remake, but i literally can’t imagine the remake being remade in the modern day! the same goes for the addams family series) or some are just... plain awful (1998 GODZILLA.) so i have mixed feelings on them!
